Elementary School Building Project Update
Voters at Town Meeting and the ballot approved $2M to fund the Feasibility Study, the next step in the building project process. The Feasibility Study will explore and determine the most cost-effective and educationally appropriate solution. More information is available on the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) website.
A School Building Committee has been established by the Town Manager with representatives from the Select Board, School Committee, Finance Committee, Schools, and Ipswich residents. The School Building Committee’s next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 11th.
Bullying and Cyberbullying Awareness
As part of our ongoing work to support a safe and welcoming school environment, we want to remind families about the importance of preventing bullying—both in person and online. Open conversations at home help children feel supported and prepared.
Good questions to ask include: “Have you seen anything online or at school that felt unkind or unfair?” and “What would you do if you or someone else was being bullied?” Take a moment this week to check in with your child about kindness and safe online behavior.
