Weekly Welcome Words
Happy Sunday Cavalier Families!
As always, we hope you are having a great weekend! We now only have 14 days of school left! I don't know about you, but I feel like the year has flown by! As we approach the end of the year, we have a number of field trips, celebrations, and events planned for our students. We also still have learning that is taking place. We appreciate your support in helping students stay focused over the next few weeks. Now is a great time to check your student's progress to ensure they are on track for success. If you have questions or need clarification on something, please reach out to their teacher. We all want to end the year on a good note!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and School Nurse Appreciation Week! We will be celebrating the amazing people in our building who put their hearts into supporting your students. We do have some goodies planned for them each day, but we will always welcome more from our families. If you are able, you can help us stock the staff rooms (see flyer below). One of the best gifts that you can give (and it's free!) is a note to let them know how much they've impacted your student. You can use the button at the top of the newsletter or send something with your student.
A few reminders for our families:
- If you visit our campus, you need to check in at the front office immediately upon arrival.
- While on campus, you should refrain from interacting with any child other than your own. If you are not listed on their demographic information, you do not have their parent or guardian's permission to communicate with them at our school.
- During events (Athletics, Fine Arts, Community Outreach, etc.), you are here to encourage and support your own student. It is inappropriate to speak negatively to or about other people (including the competition).
We are working to help our students understand policies, procedures, and the power of words. They will look to you as one of their role models and we appreciate your help with this.
We are looking forward to a Cav-tastic week with your students!
Thank you,
Christina Harris
