Warhawk Culture
Special thanks to Mr. Mengerick for our Warhawk Culture Message this week!
Culture is behavior repeated at scale.
I was recently listening to a speaker talking about culture, and he said something that really stuck out to me. “Culture is behavior repeated at scale.”
As I thought more about this statement, I realized that the power of this statement lies in the simplicity of it. Creating the culture you want is simple, but not easy. It takes time to truly change culture, a culture shift cannot happen overnight. It is a process that requires work, just like anything of value. I have set some fitness goals for myself this year, and it would be crazy for me to expect to accomplish them if I don’t make a plan and put in the work. The same process applies to the culture you want to establish in your classroom, your family, and your life. The culture will shift when everyone starts repeating the behaviors that drive the culture you want. On the flip side, if behaviors that create a culture you don’t want are repeated, you get the culture you don’t want. This is why alignment and clarity are so important and powerful!
My challenge to you this week is to ask yourself these questions: What culture do you want in your life? How do you get there? What behaviors are necessary to implement the culture you want?
Once you answer these questions, the hard work begins. Repeating the behaviors that lead to the culture you want may not be easy, but they are worth it. Go do the work!
WINGS UP !
