📢 Testing Month is Here! Let's Set Our Students Up for Success! 📢

Dear Parents,

As we head into testing season, we want to ensure that our students feel prepared, confident, and ready to do their best! Here are a few simple but important ways you can support your child during this time:

✅ Get Plenty of Rest – A good night’s sleep is essential for focus and memory. Aim for at least 8-10 hours of sleep each night.

🍎 Eat a Nutritious Breakfast – A balanced breakfast fuels the brain. Avoid sugary foods and opt for protein, whole grains, and fruit to keep energy levels steady.

⏰ Arrive on Time – A stress-free morning starts with punctuality. Running late can create anxiety, so plan ahead to ensure a smooth start to the day.

💧 Stay Hydrated – Water helps with concentration and cognitive function. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water before and after testing.

📴 Limit Screen Time Before Bed – Reducing screen time in the evening can help improve sleep quality and focus the next day.

😊 Encourage a Positive Mindset – Remind your child that these tests are just one way to show what they know. Encourage deep breaths, confidence, and effort over perfection.

📅 Check the Schedule – Be aware of test dates and ensure your child is present and ready each day.

Thank you for your support in helping our students do their best! We appreciate all you do to make testing a smooth experience for them. The testing schedule is below...

Ready to Soar by Cori Doerrfeld

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Rabbit Listened, a story of learning to stay true to yourself, rather than what others want you to be.

Riley made a paper airplane and couldn’t wait to let it soar. But just before the plane could take off—SQUAWK. An eagle swoops in and insists Riley’s plane could never fly. It’s
much too small. So Riley makes it bigger! But just as this bigger paper airplane is ready to go, a parrot squawks that the plane is way too boring to fly. So Riley makes it fancier! Bird after bird offers advice, and Riley tries making the airplane faster longer, taller, and slimmer.

When the plane crashes to the ground after all these changes, Riley finally meets a more supportive friend . . . and rediscovers the joy and wonder of soaring.
