Principal's Update
Dear Westfield Technical Academy Community,
Welcome back to another incredible year! Our opening week at WTA was an absolute success, filled with high energy, smiling faces, and a seamless transition back into our classrooms and technical shops. It was wonderful to see our returning students step up as leaders and to welcome our newest Tigers into the WTA family. From day one, our students demonstrated outstanding focus, respect, and enthusiasm for learning. Whether diving straight into shop projects or engaging in their academic courses, the positive energy across the entire building was clear. We are incredibly proud of how quickly students settled into their routines. This fantastic start is a direct result of the hard work of our dedicated staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the continued support of our families. Thank you for partnering with us to make the launch of this school year so positive. We look forward to an amazing, productive, and successful year ahead!
-Mr. Paquette
Back to School Forms
To help us prepare for a successful school year, please ensure your Back to School Forms are completed. The access link and detailed directions are provided below. We appreciate your time and cooperation in finalizing these important details for your student.
A Week and B Week Calendar
This week will be a B Week. For those of you that are new to WTA, a B Week will place our 9th and 12th grades students in shop and our 10th and 11th grade students in academics. 9th grade students will report to the auditorium at the start of the school day on Tuesday and will receive their shop group and begin their 1 day rotation. This rotation includes two days a safety training, a career exploration day, and 1 day in each of the shops.
Cell Phone Policy
For the 2026-27 school year, WTA will be cell phone free during instructional time. Students have until September 11th to download the Doorman app or opt out of the Doorman app. The link below provides you with instructions on how to download the app as well as a Google Form to opt out of the Doorman app.
Every Day Counts! Why Attendance Matters
Consistent school attendance is the single most important factor in a student's academic and professional success. Every day a student is in class or in the shop, they gain critical hands-on experience, build strong workplace habits, and stay aligned with their curriculum. Missing even a few days can create learning gaps that are difficult to bridge. By prioritizing regular attendance, we work together to build the reliability and dedication our students need to thrive both at Westfield Technical Academy and in their future careers. Please note that family vacations are not excused absences from school.

When families or staff go to any dining web page they will be sent directly to this link where they can put in which school they would like to see and which menus they need. This program will show all of the allergen and nutritional information of our menu items and will now truly list ALL options that are available for that day.
