π€ PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES π
π Sight Word Set Creation for Teachers
We need volunteers to help create Sight Word Sets for all classrooms! This is a great way to support early literacy and ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed. Volunteers will assist with preparing and organizing sets for each grade level. Supplies will be provided, and we welcome any creative ideas! βοΈπ
We are participating in the Irvin Parade, and we need your help to design and build our school's float! If you enjoy crafting and working with a team, this is a great opportunity to showcase our school pride. Volunteers will help with everything from planning the theme to assembling decorations. Letβs create something amazing together! ππ¨π
Help us make this yearβs Trunk or Treat a fun and festive event! Volunteers are needed to decorate their cars and hand out candy to students. You can get creative with your trunk designs, and costumes are encouraged! Letβs make this a memorable celebration for our students and families. ππ¬π
π IMPORTANT REMINDERS π
Lunch Snacks π½οΈπ
Dear Parents,
In our ongoing effort to promote healthier eating habits, we kindly ask that you limit unhealthy snack choices in your child's lunch. Specifically, family-sized chip bags and similar snacks will not be allowed. π«
Research shows that a nutritious diet plays a vital role in children's overall health, well-being, and academic performance. Unhealthy snacks can lead to issues such as decreased focus, energy levels, and long-term health risks. π By providing healthier options, we can support our students in achieving their best both in and out of the classroom. πβ¨
We encourage you to opt for health-smart snack choices like fresh fruits π, vegetables π₯, yogurt, or whole-grain options.
π Weekly Attendance Review - Goal is 97% π
Regular attendance is key to your child's academic success. Missing school means missing important lessons and interactions.
EVERY DAY COUNTS!
To ensure absences are excused, please provide a doctor's note for any missed days. This is a new requirement for the 2024-2025 school year. If student is absent parent must send an email to moye_notes@episd.org
Your support in maintaining consistent attendance helps keep your child on track and thriving.
Our weekly goal is 97%!
We can do it!
π Join PTA! π
π Exciting News! Ms. Carmona, one of our fifth grade teachers, is working hard to get our PTA back up and running, and we need your help to make it a success! By becoming a member, you can enhance our students' experiences and provide valuable resources for both students and teachers. π«πͺ
To hold our first PTA meeting, we need at least 20 members to attend. Please join us by using this link: www.joinpta.org π²
Our goal is to have 100% of parents signed up. Your participation is essential to starting our PTA and supporting our students! Letβs work together to make a difference! πͺπ
