March 2nd, 2025 March 2nd, 2025

Hello MES Families,

It is so hard to believe that we are now in the month of March! This week will close out the third quarter of learning. Don't forget that Thursday is an early release day for students at 2pm and Friday there is no school for students. Instead, it's the teacher's day to learn!

Our third graders accomplished their biography presentations this past week. The effort and work they all put into their projects just took my breath away! We also had another wonderful round of recognition assemblies where students continue to be proud of one another for what they contribute to make MES a special place for ALL to learn.

Please look over the news and updates below. The building is beginning to gear up for a lot of special learning activities and fun as fourth quarter is on the horizon.

Take care,

Chandley

Handwashing Videos Handwashing Videos

My own daughter in kindergarten, came home from her school the other day and I couldn't help but notice her thorough handwashing routine she had picked up. I asked her where she learned it and she said she watched these videos while at school.

In the hopes of washing away all this sickness before spring break, I thought I would share these with you as a nice resource for effective handwashing.

Unable to Attend the Auction in Person?

Hello Parents and Guardians!

Did you see the information go out to purchase a ticket to the annual auction event in support of the schools? Were you bummed that you checked your calendar and saw that you aren't able to go? Here is another great way to support the district's largest fundraiser: Madeira Community Baskets for the 2025 Annual Auction! Link located at the bottom of this email.

Community Baskets are a great way to support this fundraiser. Your family can shop from Amazon Wish Lists, and the items will ship straight to us. We will create a beautiful basket to auction off to the highest bidder at the auction and every penny raised will come straight back to the schools. You are welcome to add and purchase an item not already on the list. Make sure to select the gift registry address when checking out! Please order items online by Monday, March 3, 2025. If you have any questions, please contact Holly Meadows (middlhm@gmail.com). Thank you for supporting this incredible event.

The Madeira Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and securing resources that enhance students’ education in Madeira City Schools. The Foundation’s annual auction raises funds used to pay for scholarships, computer hardware and software, athletic facilities, theater arts programs, equipment, and much more. This year’s auction is being held on Saturday, March 15, 2025. To find out more about the Foundation or to purchase tickets for the auction, please visit www.madeiraschoolsfoundation.org
