WELCOME BACK!! WELCOME BACK!!

We're just a few weeks away from getting the club ready for the 2024-25 curling season!! Thanks for taking some time to read this newsletter.

You'll find information on registration, bonspiels, and how YOU can help make sure the season is a great one!

Good curling!

REGISTRATION BEGINS SOON!! REGISTRATION BEGINS SOON!!

The first step in registration is securing your team's spot. If you were a skip last year, you should have received an email from Kim. If you haven't already done so, check with your team and let us know if you want to maintain your league spot. This needs to be done by OCTOBER 1.

If you would like to SWITCH nights, let us know that, as well. After October 1, new teams will be added on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you want to add a NEW TEAM, there are currently openings in all leagues except for Thursday. Teams will be added on a first-come-first-served basis.

Individual registration will open soon. We'll send out an email when it's live. Please wait until we update the system so you don't end up trying to register for last year :)

Membership fees will be the same as last year. If you would like to be a member of USA Curling, there will be a $25 fee added to your registration. USA Curling membership is required for board members, and the club will cover the $25 fee as a "thank you" for their work.

WE NEED YOU!!! WE NEED YOU!!!

We need YOU to help make the club work :)

OCC is a volunteer-led club, and if everyone helps out, things go smoothly! The first opportunities will be doing clean-up (see dates below). There will be more opportunities throughout the season - please step up and help out!!

CLEAN-UP DATES ARE:

Tuesday, October 1, starting at 6pm

Wednesday, October 2, also starting at 6pm (there will be a board meeting at 6:30pm, as well).

** PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR TEAM IS REPRESENTED AT ONE OR BOTH OF THE NIGHTS!! We'll be mitigating some mold growth, cleaning and setting up the clubhouse, and getting boards and foam set for the ice.

Other opportunities include:
- Clean-up

- Ice Prep

- Helping with juniors

- Helping with Learn-to-Curls and/or an Open House

- Bonspiels - helping organize, providing food, etc

- Seeking donations for club improvements

- And MORE!! Stay tuned!!
