EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY. EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY.

Stay in the know...

πŸ’™ Out of labels? Use your Sharpie to write on moving boxes. Be sure to write clearly and big! Include your name and room number. Hold off on room numbers until final decisions have been made on classroom assignments. Remember, we are waiting for the final numbers from Kindergarten round-up.

πŸ’› Please be patient with our BEAR team as they work to support our M-STEP testing accommodations and make-ups during the next few weeks. Be sure to give grace and understanding if you are short instructional aides at times. They will be doing their best to accommodate the most pressing needs in the building during state testing.

πŸ’™ New soccer goals are coming soon! They have arrived and will be put together by maintenance. This will give us two soccer fields to play on during lunch recess! Please thank our PTO when you see them.

πŸ’› Please try to make an appearance at our "Donuts with your VIP" breakfasts on Thursday and Friday. Your students will love to see you!

Retirement Announcement

We are very sad to announce that Leath Ann has decided that it is time to retire from Lincoln School. As this is a huge loss to our Lincoln Family, we are very excited that she will now have plenty of time with her family and, especially, her granddaughter. Fortunately for us, Leath Ann has agreed to fill in for Mallory when she begins her maternity leave towards the end of May. This will give us some extra time with her before she begins retirement. Thank you for all of your years of service, Leath Ann, and for your willingness to give even more of your time at the end of this school year to help our school continue to run smoothly.

Volunteer Appreciation

April is volunteer appreciation month. Now would be a great time to acknowledge any of your volunteers that visit your classroom on a regular basis. Show some love and gratitude and let them know what a difference they make for our students and you!

Bus Driver Appreciation

Bus Driver Appreciation Day is coming up. Please have your students write a sentence or two of gratitude on a gratitude slip. We will have the slips in the office. Please pick them up for your bus students. On the 17th, please have your bus students carry their slips to the bus and hand them to the bus driver with a big "Thank you!". I will provide gratitude jars for the drivers to keep their notes in.

πŸ’™ Shout Outs and Gratitude! πŸ’› πŸ’™ Shout Outs and Gratitude! πŸ’›

Gretchen & Connie--Thank you both for being such amazing teammates while I was on maternity leave! I really appreciate both of you for all your extra hard work and time to help EVERY 3rd grader! You both ROCK! (Insert Kagan hand motion here!)

Heather & Lindsay--Thank you for going through the LETRS training with me. It makes the learning click with me when I have you to talk with about it. And it’s a lot more fun with friends!!

Maria--Thank you for always being willing to help! The way you stepped up to support me and my students while I was out was incredible. I appreciate you each and every day!

Grace--Thank you for working to ensure your schedule was covered while you were at home with a sick child. Your dedication is very appreciated!

Gretchen--Thank you for heading up our Science Olympiad again this year. We greatly appreciate your time and effort given to this event. Our students love it!
