26-27 Preschool
Do you have a child who will be eligible for preschool during the 2026-2027 school year?
The GVS Preschool has two classes. Students who turn 3 on or before September 30th are eligible for the morning class. Students who turn 4 on or before September 30th are eligible for the afternoon class. Spaces are limited so we use a lottery system. Complete the google form below and you will be added to our interest list. We will begin screening registration in February. Our screening date is March 27, 2026.
Current PK students do NOT need to complete the form.

A Message from our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Buckley:
January Authors of the Month
This month, students responded to the following prompt: January 13 is “Make Your Dream Come True Day.” Tell us about your biggest dream. This prompt connected to the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Students from Pre-K through sixth grade shared inspiring dreams. Some wrote about career aspirations such as driving a fire truck, becoming a pilot, a surgeon, a professional soccer player, or an Olympic swimmer. Others dreamed of long-lasting friendships, living in harmony, spreading kindness, and leading productive, meaningful lives.
Congratulations to Waverly, Graham, Eva, Max G., Charlie, Levi, CJ, Tess, Ludo, Conall, Tucker, Max B., Sy, and Dailey. We are so proud of you and hope your dreams come true!
The Book Vending Machine is stocked and ready for birthday tokens!
Thanks to generous funding through a DonorsChoose grant—matched by the Burkehaven Family Foundation—Grantham Village School has added a wonderful new selection of both chapter books and picture books to our Book Vending Machine.
The Book Vending Machine has been proudly located in the GVS lobby for the past five years. Each student in Pre-K through sixth grade receives a token on their birthday to select a book of their choice. Students with July birthdays receive their token on their half birthday.
The book chosen from the vending machine belongs to the student and is theirs to keep—celebrating their birthday and helping build a forever home library.
A Message from our Math Interventionist, Mrs. Hutchins:
A message from our School Nurse, Mrs. Carey:
The flu and stomach bug have been the two top contenders this short week.
Please keep your kids home if they are sick. Don’t send them to school medicated. You are putting other students and staff at risk.
Thank you!
