It's Homecoming Week! Let's Go UT Panthers!
Hello Gators!
Be an Attendance PRO - Text absences today...
Is your student going to be absent? Use our new texting feature to let us know!
Skip the Calls—Text Our Attendance Line!
Reporting your student’s absence is now faster and easier. For Glenview Middle School save309-988-0073 in your phone today!
How It Works:
Text Us: Send a quick text to 309-988-0073 with your student’s first and last name, date, and reason for the absence (illness, appointment, or emergency).
Got a Text from Us? Reply Back! If you get an absence alert text from the school, simply reply directly to the text message right away.
Avoid Truancy Marks: To keep students safe, all absences must be reported by a parent/guardian. Unreported absences are required by policy to be marked as truant.
Thank you for helping us keep our attendance records accurate and our students safe!
Need Gas? Stop by the Shell Gas Station on Kennedy Drive and fill-up from Pump 3 or 4. Glenview erns a portion of all monies earned from these two pumps. Stop in through today and support our Gators!
We appreciate you! 💙🐊💛

Morning and Afternoon Traffic at GMS
Morning and Afternoon Traffic
Continued Reminders: "Rules of the Road" while dropping off and picking up students:
- Blinkers are helpful to alert other drivers and staff which way you are going
- Crosswalks are for students, staff, and families to cross the parking lot, please do not stop on crosswalks
- A single line down the middle of the lane means to stay in your lane, please do not change lanes in this area - as safety for everyone is of the greatest importance
To help ensure a smooth, safe start to every morning, please review the following arrival guidelines:
Morning Arrival Schedule
7:20am: The South-East doors, near the East gym, and the Skywalk Cafe doors open; students are allowed to enter GMS
7:45am: First bell rings - all students should be inside the building and have 5 minutes to pass to Homeroom
7:50am: Tardy Bell rings - students are officially marked tardy after this time
Drop-Off Procedures & Safety Rules
Car Drop-Off Location: All vehicles dropping off students must enter the back parking lot off 30th Avenue - GMS families travel down the curved drive, along the curb
Sidewalk Safety: Students may only exit vehicles in designated locations where a sidewalk is present - students should exit the vehicle when it coms to a stop and then walk to one of the two entrances near the East gym
Pedestrian Safety: For their safety, students are never permitted to walk in the roadway or cut between parked vehicles at any time
Late Arrival Guidelines (7:50 AM or Later) If your student arrives after 7:45am, please do not drop them off in the back lot. Instead, keep your student in the vehicle, proceed up the hill to the GMS Main Entrance. All students that are tardy must check in through the main entrance. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our campus safe for everyone.
Thank you for your continued partnership.

From the Nurse's Clinic
All physicals are to be handed-in to the Nurse's Clinic.
- Plan ahead for this year’s physical requirements. All athletes need a sports physical to try out and participate. Sports physicals are good for 13 months. All incoming 6th grade students next school year will need a current physical and two immunizations.
- In addition, please remember all new students and 6th grade students need an updated physical and proof of vaccines. The School Health Link will be at Glenview on 09/23/2026 to complete physicals and vaccines as needed. If you are interested, please see the nurses.
- The Dental Bus will be at Glenview on September 15. If you need a form, please see the nurses.
