Student Shout Outs
This month we have two senior students to highlight! See below to see their interests and plans.
Bryn Lang
(Grade 12) Her favorite class is Theory of Knowledge because she enjoys the real world discussions about different aspects of the other IB classes. Her dream school is definitely Harvard, but realistically she is waiting to see where she gets in. Eventually she would like to become a psychiatrist.
Abraham Lopez-Banos
(Grade 12) His favorite class is also TOK because they really reflect on real concepts that can apply to everyday situations. He wants to go to Columbia University for computer and information sciences.
Ms. Coleman says "Bryn tries hard each and every day and will revisit assignments to make corrections to maximize her learning."
Ms. Forman says "Abe is always an engaged student who helps his classmates and gets them excited about the Spanish language and culture. His treats from the Latin market have been a hit (mostly) :-)"
Community Service
We are collecting socks, mittens, gloves, and scarves for the Mitten Tree in the IB Office. Donations can be dropped off at the library or IB office 117. Students can also stop by and decorate an ornament for the tree!
College Visits
The Towson University field trip was a success! The next trip is to Stevenson University on November 30th. Keep an eye on schoology for details of upcoming events!
IB Thanksgiving
We will be together on 11/23 in the library to work together on some team building activities, CAS introductions, and IB themed activities. Passes were handed out in homerooms Wednesday and Thursday.
