Message from the Board President
As we approach the close of another remarkable school year, I find myself reflecting not only on the accomplishments of our students and staff, but also on the deep sense of pride and gratitude I carry for Redlands Unified School District and the community we serve. β€οΈπ€
Redlands Unified has always held a special place in my heart. After raising five children who graduated from our district π and now watching our grandchildren create memories of their own here πβ¨, I have experienced firsthand the lasting impact of an RUSD education across generations.
There is something truly unique about this district β the traditions we share π«, the pride we feel in our schools β€οΈ, and the way our community continues to come together in support of students π€β. Every day, I am reminded that Redlands Unified is more than a school district; it is a family dedicated to helping every student learn, grow, and succeed. πππ
This year, I had the privilege of attending so many meaningful events across our district that reminded me why RUSD is such a special place. β€οΈπ« From celebrating student achievements at Board meetings and the Superintendent Awards ππ, to experiencing firsthand the innovation and progress taking place in classrooms across the District π‘π, to witnessing the joy and inclusivity of the PossAbilities Prom πβ¨, each and every event reflects the heart of our schools and the strength of our community. π€β€οΈ I was equally inspired during Read Across America ππΊπΈ as I watched students discover the joy of reading ππ, and during our Community Resource Fair π€π, where families, staff, and community organizations came together to support one another. These moments may all look different, but they share something important in common: they represent connection π€, opportunity π±, and the unwavering commitment we have to our students. βπ Throughout this school year, our students have continued to impress me with their resilience πͺ, creativity π¨, compassion β€οΈ, and determination π. Whether in academics π, athletics π
, the arts ππΆ, career technical education π§π», leadership programs π©βπΌπ¨βπΌ, or service to others π€², our students continue to demonstrate what it means to lead with purpose and excellence. π I have been continually inspired by their ability to rise to challenges β°οΈ while supporting one another along the way. π€β€οΈπ
To our teachers ππ, support staff π€, administrators π©βπΌπ¨βπΌ, and employees across the district β thank you. β€οΈ Your dedication shapes the experiences our students will carry with them for the rest of their lives. π The care you show each day, often in ways unseen by others, creates schools where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. π±β¨ To our families π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ and community members π€π‘, thank you for your partnership and trust. β€οΈ The strength of Redlands Unified has always been rooted in strong parental engagement and the relationships between our schools and our community. Together, we continue to create an environment where students can thrive. πππ And to the Class of 2026 ππ: as you prepare to walk across the graduation stage, I hope you take with you more than just a diploma. Carry the memories you created here β the friendships, the teachers who believed in you, the lessons learned, the traditions celebrated , and the moments that shaped who you are becoming. π Wherever life takes you next, I hope you always remember the experiences and community that helped guide your journey here in Redlands Unified. β€οΈπ€π« As summer approaches, I wish all of our students, families, and staff a safe season filled with rest π, joy π, and time with loved ones. Thank you for another unforgettable year in Redlands Unified School District. π«β¨ It has truly been an honor to serve our community alongside all of you. π€β€οΈ With heartfelt appreciation, Michele Rendler
