Nike Weekly Scout Report

Good afternoon Nike families,

Reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Friday, September 19th.

We had an amazing turnout for Grandparents' Day. Thank you to the over 230 grandparents who attended today!

Your child has information in their Thursday folder tonight. Please check it out.

Monday, Sept. 22nd will be another ticket collection day. Chicken patrol will be out at lunch again on Monday. Nike's fundraiser will end Tuesday, Sept. 23rd.

Nike has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The organization has traditionally sponsored activities such as Movie Night, Breakfast with Santa, Trivia Night, and fundraisers to support the school. This year we are planning to hold similar events.

The date for the first PTO Meeting of the year will be shared soon.

You should have found the following items in your child's Thursday folder:

*School pictures

For September we are discussing the impact digital lives can have on their well-being and relationships and how to balance media in their everyday lives.

This year we are so excited to launch the Beanstack App. This is a fun way for students to track what they're reading each day at school and at home as well. Students simply take a book, scan the store bar code, and set the timer. What's really great about this app is the immediate feedback on a job well done by earning digital badges. This app is FREE for MVR-3 families and easy to download on any device. Directions for how to set up the account from home was sent out on ROOMS.
