Andrew Lie attended Westmoor High School's graduation ceremony and mentioned the construction progress taking place at the District's new Adult School Campus and District Office building close to Westmoor High. He thanked the residents of 705 Serramonte, the District's Educational Housing, for a signed card thanking the Board for their support in making this happen.

Kalimah Salahuddin enjoyed attending the Adult Transition Program's graduation ceremony and thanked their staff and administration, including the transportation department, for their support of the District's special education programs. Today, she attended San Mateo County's Juneteenth flag raising ceremony and invited everyone to attend this Saturday's first-ever county Pride parade in San Mateo.

Rosie Tejada was absent from this meeting.

Jerome Gallegos attended district graduation ceremonies at Thornton High School, Terra Nova High School, and Adult School. Despite an unforeseen power outage at the Adult School graduation ceremony, he was impressed the program's staff for pulling it off and honoring three years of graduates.

Sherrett Walker attended district graduation ceremonies at both Oceana High School and Jefferson High School. He described these events as joyous and special. He congratulated all district graduates on this accomplishment.

Superintendent Toni Presta attended six of the seven site graduation ceremonies and noted how terrific these were, each with their own style and feel, and were very joyous. She thanked site staffs and administration for their hard work in making these ceremonies such successful events.

She attended the Jefferson Council PTA end of year meeting and celebration this past week with Clerk Rosie Tejada where retiring Jefferson Elementary School District Superintendent Bernardo Vidales was honored for his years of service to the community.

This past Saturday, she attended the Pacifica Pride event held at Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School and was excited to see Deputy Superintendent of Business Services Tina Van Raaphorst and Daly City Youth Health Center's Mary Bier in attendance.

She mentioned that the District's summer school program started on Tuesday, June 6, and gave a special shout-out to summer school administrators Dr. Sterling He and and Dr. Dennie Marenco.

She and Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services Kareen Baca are excited to attend the Boys and Girls Club Future Grads Summer Program at Skyline College on June 7.

The next regularly scheduled Board Meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Public open session begins at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise noted) on the JUHSD YouTube channel and in person at the District Office.
