A Trip Down Goshen Lane
Issue 30: March 13, 2026
Principal's Message
Hello, Families,
👉 There is no school for students Friday, March 20th. 👈
Students have been giving so much effort and time to reading for this year's Read-A-Thon! For every 20 minutes of reading logged online, they earn a ticket to put in a raffle drawing bin. We thank the PTA and school community for all of the donations of Raffle Prizes. Students are quite excited each day to walk down and add their tickets to the drawing. Keep up the great work - read and log those minutes online!
Classrooms have also been enjoying our One School One Book, A Boy Called Bat. Each student reads from their personal copy that they will get to take home and keep when the book is finished.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Sharon Suriano
Principal
Report Cards
Report cards went home today. Students and teachers have been working hard! Report cards are an opportunity to celebrate the growth our students have made and reflect on the learning that has taken place so far this year. We encourage families to take time to review your child's report card together, celebrate their successes, and talk about goals they have for the 4th nine weeks. Setting small goals together helps students stay motivated and focused as we continue a strong vear of learning at school.
Grades and comments can also be viewed in Infinite Campus. Please return envelopes to school as we will use those at the end of the 4th quarter.
Lost and Found
Please ask your student to visit the Lost and Found next week. All remaining items will be donated on Thursday, March 19th.
Spread the Word
March 8th was national SPREAD THE WORD DAY and in that spirit we are so excited to Spread the Word to celebrate ALL ABILITIES! At Goshen Lane, we focus on the positive note this shirt brings and the shirt this year is AMAZING! Everyone learns in their own unique way so let's CELEBRATE MINDS OF ALL KINDS!
Shirt sales will open on MONDAY, MARCH 9TH and close on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18TH at this LINK: Gahanna Paw Print Website
A portion of the proceeds will come back to our special needs population at Goshen Lane!
Shirts will then be delivered to Goshen Lane the week of April 27th! As always, our staff and students are so grateful for the inclusivity of Goshen Lane and your support!

Home Access to School Resources
Did you know your child can access their online educational apps at home like they do in school? These resources include Lexia and DreamBox, educational accounts to build reading and math skills. Click here to read how.
Lions Locker - Another Resource for our GJPS Families
Lions Locker is an anonymous pantry located at Gahanna Lincoln High School. They provide food, toiletries, school supplies and other basic necessities to PreK-12 students of Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
If your family is in need of these basic items please reach out to Mrs. Cellar, School Counselor (cellarl@gjps.org) and she will work with Lions Locker as well as other local organizations to support your family through these need based programs.
Afterschool Care at Goshen Lane
If your student is in need of after school care, the YWCA Columbus offers services right here at Goshen Lane. There is an option to receive publicly funded childcare for those who apply and qualify. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact them directly.
