Thomas W. Hamilton Elementary
September 14, 2025
Our first full week back saw students being introduced to new technology, lots of new friendships beginning, and an opportunity for all community members to review building expectations and routines. Fifth grade had an instrument demonstration and we are excited to see who joins the band. The modular classrooms are being wrapped up with technology installed this week.
Students will begin fall benchmark testing this week. Your students will be assessed within ELA and Math and these assessments will give staff valuable information to help flag student weaknesses and assess groupings within the classroom. For Grades 1-3, the early literacy screening will utilize some of this data. If you have any further questions about our academic assessments, please reach out to your classroom teacher.

Dismissal Procedure - Parents
We will have a very busy front door this year. If you are a parent waiting for Grades 1-5 students please be aware of your surroundings. Before students who are walkers are released, we will be boarding vans. We need a clear path for these students to get to their transportation.
When you are exiting the area, please walk along the sidewalk to the crosswalk. We have staff stationed here to assist with you safely crossing. Entering the driveway anywhere but the crosswalk is not safe with cars, vans, and buses moving through.

Please consider lending a hand to this dedicated organization.
