Engineering in Action: The Egg Drop Challenge 👨‍🔬💡🥚

Students in Ms. Ghosen's class at Cambridge put their creativity and engineering skills to the test in the Egg Drop Project! Tasked with designing a vehicle using only provided materials, students had to protect an egg while launching it from a distance into a designated target area. The challenge? Ensuring their vehicle cushioned the fall and kept the egg intact. Through teamwork, trial and error, and hands-on problem-solving, students explored the principles of physics, design, and innovation—proving that learning can be both educational and egg-citing!

Toast for Change! 🥂

This summer, Ms. Tuzzo's classroom at Rossler explored themes of self-awareness, perseverance, and grit. After watching a powerful clip from Freedom Writers, students reflected on something they'd like to change about themselves and leave behind. They then shared their thoughts during our own “Toast for Change,” raising glasses of sparkling grape juice to mark their commitment. Through this experience, students are learning that they are all capable of resilience and personal growth as they continue to mature into confident young adults.

Belonging and Connection!💙🤍

This summer, new principal, Mrs. Fodero, has been making it a priority to connect with students and staff by spending time in classrooms across the building. From joining group activities to engaging in one-on-one conversations, she’s been eager to learn more about the Mullen school community and the incredible work happening each day.

A thoughtful souvenir for Principal Collins! ❤️🖤

One of our Roosevelt students recently returned from a family vacation to Disney with a very special surprise for Ms. Collins — a pair of Minnie Mouse ears and a pen! Knowing her love for Minnie, the student wanted to share a little Disney magic back at school. It was a sweet reminder of the thoughtful connections our students make with the people who care for them every day!
