Check your child's folder - important information came home today about Raise Craze!

We’re thrilled to kick off Raise Craze, our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year—proudly sponsored by the MacArthur PTO—and it’s all about spreading kindness while supporting our students and staff! Raise Craze is more than just raising money; it’s about teaching our kids the power of gratitude and generosity as they complete meaningful Acts of Kindness for others.

Together, our goal is to raise $16,000 to help create an even more positive, caring, and joyful environment for everyone at MacArthur. We encourage all families to sign up this weekend, because our official kickoff is happening next week with a school-wide assembly that will get students fired up and ready to lead with kindness!

Let’s come together, serve others, and make this our most impactful—and kindest—fundraiser yet!

All the Right Moves: Chess Club Highlights All the Right Moves: Chess Club Highlights

Our student chess club has launched with an exciting wave of interest. Each meeting is filled with energy and focus as students gather around the boards, learning new strategies, challenging friends, and cheering each other on. It’s been wonderful to see how much fun they’re having—smiling over clever moves, laughing through friendly competition, and building confidence with every game. The chess club is quickly becoming a place where students connect, think critically, and enjoy being part of something special together.

Community Network Household Pantry Community Network Household Pantry

The Household Pantry program from Community Help Network provides essential non-food supplies to low-income families in South Lake County who may struggle to afford everyday household and hygiene items. Unlike food assistance programs that focus on groceries, this pantry makes available necessities such as cleaning products, paper goods, personal hygiene supplies, diapers, wipes, and other items that are not covered by SNAP benefits, helping households maintain cleanliness, health, and dignity. The pantry operates at set hours and serves residents with proof of ID and residency, aiming to reduce hardship by ensuring basic household needs are met alongside other food-security efforts in the community.
