Superintendent's "On the Move" Seri
September 2nd, 2025
Welcome Back from Superintendent Epperson
Where did August go?! It has been a fast-paced and fantastic start to our new school year! We welcome back our returning scholars, teachers and staff as well as our new additions to the Viking family. Our teachers have worked hard to get their classrooms prepared for teaching and learning and our staff has also worked hard over the summer to have our building prepared to welcome everyone back to sparkling and shiny buildings and classrooms.
Many thanks to our community partners who provided an abundance of back packs and school supplies for our scholars and for the many ways you have blessed our teachers and staff with donations and meals to help get their school year off to the best start ever! The support of our community partners is unmatched and is greatly appreciated.
Fall sports are in full swing and we encourage you to support our Lady Vikings Volleyball teams and Viking Football teams because they have been working hard all summer to be prepared to put points on the scoreboards. Help us fill the seats and show these student athletes how much we appreciate their efforts.
Stay tuned for great things across our campuses and I encourage you to continue reading to see what all has been happening in Humboldt City Schools this past month!
HCS Leadership Team Retreat 2025
The Humboldt City School Leadership Team participated in a two-day retreat at the Humboldt Medical Center on July 23-24. The focus of the treat was based on the groups reading assignment of "Uncommon Greatness" by Mark Miller. The two-day retreat energized and prepared the team for the new school year.
