Note from the Director
Hi everyone!
We are so excited to bring Trolls Jr. to the stage! While this is primarily a Middle School production, we are also looking for a few High School students to serve on crew and help bring the magic to life behind the scenes.
All Middle School cast members will be enrolled in the Theatre Elective during Quarter 2, as that is when the majority of our rehearsals will take place. We will continue working together in the elective during Quarter 3, followed by approximately three weeks of after-school rehearsals with the full cast leading up to the production.
To help families plan ahead, please note that we will not hold rehearsals during any school holidays.
Because of our current Frozen rehearsal schedule, we're handling auditions a little differently this time. The first round of auditions will be submitted by video. Don't worry, though, we've provided all the information you'll need, and I know you're going to do a fantastic job!
Thank you for your interest in being part of this exciting production. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need anything from me.
Break a leg, and we can't wait to see your auditions!

πΆSinging Video: Please record your singing audition without anyone else singing along with you so we can clearly hear your voice. Be sure to fully embody the character and show us your personality through your performance! For auditions, you may choose any song from the musical to sing. Please prepare approximately 45 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds of music.
πActing Video: Choose 1-2 audition sides to perform. Memorization is not required. You may read all of the parts yourself, perform with a friend, or have a parent read the other roles. Focus on making strong character choices and bringing the scene to life through your expression and acting.
πΊDance Video: Most importantly, have fun! We want to see your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to perform.
Remember: We are not looking for perfection. We want to see confidence, creativity, and your ability to tell a story through singing, acting, and dancing. Break a leg! πβ¨
If you find your videos are too large to submit, you can upload them to a private link on youtube and share the link.
Auditions should be submitted to Mrs. Pritz - kpritz@sachristian.org by Sunday, October 4.
Everyone will be assigned a number at Auditions! Check out explanation below β¬
π Anyone can Watch!
It takes great courage to audition, and we want only to be supportive and encouraging.
π Callbacks - 2nd Round of Auditioning
If the panel of judges has not matched you to a role in the first two days of auditions, you may be asked to attend callbacks. If there is need for an additional script reading, it will be noted in the email.
