This Week's To Do List
- Remove Users from 360- Spring books: Now is a good time to clean up users on your account
- Sell the last of your books- Use Kathy Beers' videos in your class, this list of ideas and our online resources.
- Check Online Store- If you're selling books online at distribution, make sure your store will be live.
- Recruiting- Before school is out, send letters to your feeder schools to drive interest in your program.
- Sign Up for Summer Workshops- Hopefully, you've emailed parents about workshop dates. Get students committed and start the paperwork.
Remove Users from 360
For spring books that have finaled, now is a great time to clear users from your 360 account. Click on PLAN BOOK then STAFF & PERMISSIONS. Select the student who will not be in the class next year and then the X.
Check Online Store
Under the SALES tab, click on SCHOOL STORE. Make sure your Sales End Date is during or right after your distribution. You'll want to send buyers to yearbookforever.com to buy any extra or unsold books. In this example, the store would be inaccessible during the May 15 distribution event.
Final Sales Push
No one, you or your rep, wants you stuck with leftover books. April is the time to do that last sales push. Use this week to show these videos to your class. Then discuss ways you and your staff can sell the remaining inventory.
- Kathy Beers' "Marketing that Moves" classroom video series
- Walsworth Online Marketing Resources
- Big list of ways to sell your book
Build Next Year's Staff
Here's a sample letter we used at Legacy to 8th graders to recruit and build interest in the program. Ironically, there's something about getting and old school letter in the mail that worked for us.

What is this group?
A group of first-year (or new) advisers. Your Walsworth rep has added you to this group for new advisers. If you would like to be removed, please email me and let me know. Most Sundays, I’ll send updates to help you in your classroom. Each update will be full of checklists, classroom help and pro tips.

I’ve served as Webmaster for the Texas Association of Journalism Educators (TAJE) and received multiple honors, including:

- 2024 CSPA’s Distinguished Adviser Award
- 2022 JEA Media of Merit Award

In June, I joined the Walsworth family as the Texas Education Specialist. My job is to help you and your students build a stronger yearbook while making your job easier.
