The Sheiko Weekly Update
Sheiko Elementary: September 12, 2025
PRINCIPAL UPDATE
Dear Sheiko Families,
What an amazing week of learning we’ve had! We also held our first school-wide assembly with our PTO to kick off the Fund Run, along with Community Financial to share about our student-run credit union. Fifth graders will receive an application in their email next week if they would like to apply to help run the credit union.
Fourth and fifth grade students also brought home their MSTEP results this week. On our stakeholder survey last spring, one of the areas families asked us to grow in was how we communicate student progress. The MSTEP is just one way we share information. We also keep families informed through student planners, PowerSchool, graded assignments, quarterly report cards, feedback on classwork, parent phone calls, emails, and conferences. We always want you to feel connected and informed about how your student is doing at school.
Have a wonderful weekend, and Gooooooooooooo Lakers!
Warm regards,
Blaine McDowell
