On Wednesday, November 19, representatives from the Scouts will be present at lunch to talk about all the exciting adventures going on in Pack 492! Scouting is open to all youth K-5, and for more information, you may contact Nick at nick.prainito@scouting.org.
Honey is a Got Your Six Pet Therapy Support Dog that will be visiting Bellieve School this year. This is her 3rd year of visiting the schools and departments in the Parkway School District. She is trained to serve and provide pet therapy to local area residents in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, public libraries, and even funeral homes. Got Your Six Support Dogs Organization is based in Maryville, Illinois. The organization is committed to providing specialized service dogs to veterans and first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other traumas without any costs. Their mission is to help men and women regain their lives through the healing power of dogs. For more information, please check out their website at https://gotyoursixsupportdogs.org/.
Honey and her owner look forward to visiting your students on Monday, November 24th, in the morning. Her team will be working alongside the school nurse to make sure that they do not enter any rooms where students are allergic or have a fear of dogs. Honey's personal goal is to provide smiles on people's faces and keep kids safe.
