Thursday, November 23rd
- Happy Thanksgiving!
- Playoff Game #3 vs. La Vernia @ Alamo Stadium, 7 pm - Call time 2:45 pm
La Vernia Playoff Game
Playoff games are required for all band and color guard students who do not have a conflict. Please communicate any conflicts with playoff by Sunday evening so we can order the correct amount of food.
Students need to bring these items with them to school on Friday.
-Grey Wolf Band water bottle filled with ice and water
- Band - long black socks, marching shoes, compression shirt and shorts
- Color guard - summer uniform with warm ups
-Flip folder with this music inside
- 2:45 pm - Call Time
- 3:00 pm - Rehearsal
- 3:30 pm - Load equipment and Feed the Band
- 4:10 pm - Dress
- 4:30 pm - Inspection
- 4:45 pm - Leave for Alamo Stadium
- 5:45 pm - Arrive at Alamo Stadium
- 6:40 pm - Pre-game ceremonies
- 7:00 pm - Game starts
- 11:15 pm - Parent Pickup @ DHS
South Padre Island Trip
Some info about the trip:
- The trip dates are April 26-28, 2024.
- We will be taking charter busses roundtrip to South Padre Island.
- The price for a Quad room is $617 inclusive. That means four people stay in one room. All students will be in quad rooms.
- Chaperones will sign up for double or single occupancy. The price for a Double room is $751 and a Single room is $1,019.
- A $100 deposit is due upon registration.
- Prices may change depending on the number of travelers that register. This did not happen on our last two trips, but it is a possibility.
- Only current band and color guard students may register for the trip.
- Students must be academically eligible to attend this trip.

- Hotel - 2 Nights at Hilton Garden Inn or Equivalent (based on availability) Quad occupancy

We will take one chaperone per 10 students. All adults on the trip will be acting as chaperones. Remember that all chaperones must have done the CISD Background Check. If you are interested in chaperoning, please contact Mr. Keyes before registering for the trip.

Payment Schedule for Quad Capacity
- $100 - Amount due at booking
- $103.40 - 1st payment due November 30th
- $103.40 - 2nd payment due December 30th
- $103.40 - 3rd payment due January 30th
- $103.40 - 4th payment due February 29th
- $103.40 - Final payment due March 30th
Region Band Auditions
Here is link to the students who are entered in region auditions.
The audition will be at La Vernia HS on Saturday, December 2nd. We will be taking busses to and from the audition. Students who earn a chair in the band will earn a Davenport HS Letter Jacket. Students who would like to be in Wind Ensemble in the Spring semester are highly encouraged to audition for region band.

Butter Braid Fundraiser
We are kicking off our Butter Braid Fundraiser this Thursday. We are raising money for next years marching show :)

We will run the fundraiser through December 1st at 11:59pm. Delivery will be December 14th.
Winter Guard Info
Here are results from winter guard try outs.
Fees
- Fair Share Fee - $300 (Varsity and JV)
- Costume Fee (students get to keep their costume) - $200 (Varsity only)
Here are some important dates for winter guard season.
- November 29 - Leadership try outs for Winter Guard (All positions are open again, procedures for try outs will be released on 11/26)
- December 4 - Winter Guard parent meeting immediately after Holiday Concert
Below are the results from the poll regarding camp dates during the holiday break. We will publish the rehearsal dates next weekend.
Spring Semester Band Auditions
All band students will be auditioning for band and chair placement for the spring semester during class starting December 5th.

Directions for Syncing Charms Calendar

For iPhones
- Go into the Settings app
- Touch "Accounts & Passwords"
- On the Accounts & Passwords screen, touch "Add Account"
- On the Add Account screen, touch "Other"
- Under Calendars, touch "Add Subscribed Calendar"
- For the Server value, enter the URL of the public calendar:

- It will verify the server then show a subscription page. Change the description if you like.
- Touch "Save" to save the subscription
For Android Phones
To sync with Android devices, you will need to use your Google account and have a Google calendar created.
In your Google calendar on a real computer:
- Under "Other Calendars" click the Add link.
- Select "Add by URL"
- Enter the following URL:

- Google will begin to sync your calendar, and it will appear on the screen.
- Click "Settings"
- Change the long name of the new calendar to something you will remember such as "Charms Calendar"

- On your phone: Click on "Calendar", then bring up the settings for the calendar. Click on Calendar Sync. You should see your google account listed already. Make sure Auto-Sync is checked.
Remind Groups
Parents and students, please take a moment to join the appropriate groups by texting the code including the @ to 81010. You do not need to re-join if you were in the correct group last year.

Fee Payments
- Please consider paying with cash or a check to avoid the 4% plus $1 per transaction service charge for using a credit card. You may pay your booster fees online at this link. The instrument usage fee can be paid at this link.
- Payment plans are available upon request.
- The fair share fee ($300), marching shoes/color guard uniform items (various cost) will be paid to the booster (Check to Davenport Band Boosters) and the instrument usage fee ($80) will be paid to the school (Check to Davenport High School).
