WHS Counseling News Hub

Last week we invited current Juniors and Seniors to attend a mini college fair that was held at West High during both AcLab mods. We had a great turn out with 18 colleges represented and 165 students. Each college presented for a few minutes about their college/university then students were able to engage with reps at their tables to obtain college brochures, Q&A, and exchange information. Following are the colleges that were in attendance:

Camp Glennon - SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital

July 20-24 2026

This camp is designed for students anticipating graduating in 2027 (current juniors) who are interested in exploring careers in healthcare and discovering the compassionate community that defines SSM Health Cardinal Glennon.

Camp Glennon offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with our dedicated team members and learn about the Glennon Factor—our commitment to caring for our patients. Participants will experience job shadowing in various departments, hear directly from our department leaders, and engage in conversations with experienced healthcare professionals. This hands-on experience will not only provide valuable insights into healthcare careers but also allow students to connect with peers and enjoy a fun-filled learning environment.

Participation is free, but class size is limited to approximately 25 individuals to ensure an interactive and personalized experience.
