Annually, the Ohio Middle Level Association (OMLA) West Region invites it member schools to send a delegation to their annual Student Leadership Conference. This year the event was held at Edison State Community College. While at the event students are honored for their contributions to the climate and culture of their schools, take part in a keynote, participate in various leadership skill sessions, and tour campus. Teachers in grade 6 and 7 had the opportunity to nominate students for this honor and skill building event.

The following students represented Graham Middle School:

6th graders Lucy Rodgers and Reed Trowbridge, and 7th graders Adelyn Guidera and Tayte Stratton.

For families that participated in the Spring variety fundraiser, the delivery is set for Wednesday, May 14th. We will be available from dismissal until 4:00pm for pickup. If your student has a small number of items, we will send them home with their box.

GMS will hold end of year awards for students in grades 6 and 7 the morning of Wednesday, May 28th. Parents are welcome to attend, however we cannot guarantee your student will be receiving an award.

Grade 7 @ 8:30am

Final Grade Cards will be available for pick-up in the GMS office from 9am-2pm on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th. We will also have any end of year awards for absent students.

After the 5th we will begin to process any remaining grade cards to be mailed. We cannot mail any end of year awards.

Graham Middle School is hosting a Color Blast 1 mile & 5K run/walk

with proceeds benefiting student organizations and student initiatives

throughout the building.

Date: Saturday, May 24th

Time: 10:00am runs start (all starting together this year)

Location: Graham Middle & Elementary Schools

Check-in: begins at 9:00am @ GMS (9644 Us Hwy 36 Saint Paris, OH 43072)

Pre-Registration Deadline: Sunday, May 11th @ midnight (if shirt package chosen)

Cost:

Basic Packet $25 (option to purchase shirt as well for additional cost)

All participants will run through a minimum of 4 color stations in the 1 mile, and 12 total in the 5K. Our goal is 6 each mile.

All participants have the opportunity to participate in the pre-race water balloon fight (helps the color stick to clothing).

All participants can utilize the tye dye station post-race.

All participants and spectators can enjoy the variety of vendors we hope to have.

Additional color packets may be available for sale at the event (cash/check)

We heard your requests over the years and put in place an online registration system!!

All registration will be completed through Hometown Ticketing.

There are registration options with and without an event t-shirt.

Girls entering grades 7 and 8 are invited to participate in GMS volleyball open gym this summer to work on skills and acclimate as a team.

May: 20th and 27th from 6:00-8:00pm at GHS.

June: 3rd 6:00-7:30 (GMS), 9th 6:00-8:00 (GHS), 16th 6:00-8:00 (GHS), 24th 6:00-7:30 (GMS)

Also the girls are invited to participate in sand volleyball with the high school in Urbana at Melvin Miller Park on June 13th and 20th from 8:00am-10:00am.

Students entering grades 7 and 8 are welcome to join the football workouts the following dates in July: 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31. All workouts will be from 6:00-7:30 at the high school.

Students all have access to Progress Book via their Clever logins. Parents can access through the same login they would have used last year. Any new families should have received an access key on Friday via email from Mr. Guidera.

Frontline Education has released the Progress Book Parent and Student Mobile App (aka Parent Access app) to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app is available for your parents/students to download and use now. For those that choose to download, the app takes the place of the mobile web version of Parent Access that parents and students have long used. In addition, Frontline has produced an overview video that can be shared with your users.
