This Week at Waters - September 4

Waters Families,

Thank you to everyone for joining us at Curriculum Night yesterday!

Today our student body elected a new representative to the Local School Council. 8th grader Lillian Leahy is Waters new student representative!

The fall season comes with celebrations of community and gratitude. As we begin to enter the next season, we wanted to let you know that Waters has a community aide group within Friends of Waters. Circle of Help provides support for Waters families throughout the school year and summer in a variety of ways. Please see more detailed information in the next section of the newsletter about Circle of Help.

With kindness,

Mr. R.

The Circle of Help is a community aid organization that assists Waters Elementary School families who need support. This program aims to help alleviate the stress of financial hardship on students and their family members, so that students can focus on their education.

VOLUNTEERS - If you would like to be included on an email list of volunteers please email circleofhelpwaters@gmail.com. This email list will be used to find volunteers to assist with purchasing items, donating gently used items, and/or to go shopping.

COATS - Circle of Help is looking for sponsors to purchase winter gear. If you would like to purchase a winter coat for a family in need, please email circleofhelpwaters@gmail.com for details.

Friends of Waters is looking for local businesses to sponsor our 2026 Walk-a-thon & Pledge Drive, taking place from September 21 to October 2. Sponsors will be recognized on the Friends of Waters website, newsletter, and social media channels, as well as on banners displayed outside the school. Businesses that donate more than $1,000 will receive additional sponsorship perks.
