Every year our Buddy Classrooms (students in our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms paired with students in our K, 1st, and 2nd grade classrooms) work together to create chalk designs encouraging kindness. It's always a fun, creative, exciting endeavor, and this year was no different. Check out some of the beautiful artwork below.

Once again our PTO Fundraiser Walk-a-Thon was a massive success. Students and families raised well over $13,000, which exceeded our fundraising goal by over $1000. Because of this, Mr. Johnson will need to hold up his end of the deal and spend a night on the Franklin roof! While he isn't physically able to do so at this time, it will definitely happen before this school year is complete. Once the date is decided, additional communication will go out to all our families.

In the meantime, check out some of the incredible photos Mr. Shevy took during this fun-filled family event.

On Friday, October 10, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students from across Mankato Area Public Schools were invited to attend, for free, and MSU Mankato Women's Hockey game. For most of our students, this was the first time they had ever attended a hockey game. The excitement they shared upon their return confirmed this was an enjoyable experience they won't soon forget. Check out some pictures from the outing below.

Please consider supporting our Franklin PTO, and get a night off from cooking dinner, by visiting the Madison Ave. McDonalds location and having a meal with other Franklin families. Our PTO will make a percentage of the night's proceeds from all meals sold between 4:30 - 7:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 27th. If you'd rather pick up your meal "to-go", that's great, too. Drive-through proceeds are also applied to our fundraising total.
