Parade Details
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
Lineup begins: 9:00 a.m.
Parade begins: 10:00 a.m.
Arrival deadline: Please arrive no later than 9:45 a.m.
Where: Enter Main Street at the intersection of D Street and Main Street in Moscow.
Family Supervision and Check-In
This is an optional community participation event, not a school-supervised field trip. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event. MCS staff will help coordinate our parade group, but families are responsible for their children's safety and supervision.
If a student is being dropped off or picked up, the parent/guardian must check in directly with an MCS staff member to coordinate the handoff.
A Few Reminders
Please stay with your family or group and follow parade volunteer directions.
When handing out or tossing candy, keep it close to the sidewalk so spectators do not need to enter the road to retrieve it.
We look forward to showing our MCS pride, celebrating our community, and sharing what makes our school special!
Go Lions! π¦

SHOUT OUTS
MCS LIONS can earn shout outs by demonstrating core values of Loyalty, Integrity, Optimism, Nobility, and Success throughout the school day. Shout outs are announced during morning announcements, and are also entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize at the end of each week. Recent shout outs include:
- To Declan, Emma, and Mac from Mr. K - for working through a conflict positively by listening and asking what they needed from each other.
- To Emily from Mr. Collins - for demonstrating responsibility through determination and learning success
- To Preston from Mrs. Snow - recognizing when a friend was sad a recess and making an effort to include them in play time.
- To the 3rd grade class from Mrs. Bieker - for whole class participation in kindness Bingo!
1st grade Echolocation Experts!
First graders became bat experts! They used STEAM skills to build flapping bat wings, crafted bat hats with facts they learned, and discovered how bats use echolocation to hunt. Some students are now echolocation specialists.
Bus Emergency Evacuation Drills (bus riders only)
If you student rides the bus to and/or from school, the bus garage will be running emergency evacuation drills this week. This will delay the bus routes by 5-10 minutes on the day the drill is performed.
