FALL IS IN THE AIR
We hope you enjoyed your fall break and are reading to finish out October strong! Thank you to the parents and families that joined us last week for conferences. We hope you found that time valuable and appreciate your commitment to your student's progress. If you were unable to make it and still wish to have a meeting with teachers, please feel free to reach out via email. Our teachers are happy to set up a time with you.
Next week we will celebrate positive behavior at MPMS with our Oiler Drop day, which also falls on Halloween. Please see below for middle school expectations for that day.

MOBILE DENTIST - 10/23
We know that parents often find taking their children to the dentist to be a challenge due a variety of issues including transportation and having to take time off from work. That’s why so many parents tell us how much they appreciate the ease and convenience of the in-school dentist, knowing that their children’s teeth are being kept healthy. Plus, kids are more comfortable seeing the dentist in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their school.
Each of our affiliated dentists are local and state licensed. They are assisted by licensed dental hygienists and/or professional dental assistants, and all are caring professionals devoted to providing children with the highest level of care.
There is no cost to schools, districts or parents whose children are covered by Medicaid. We also accept private insurance and discounted self-pay rates. Some grants may be available for care.
Service provided includes:
Preventive Care
- Complete dental exam
- Cleaning
- X-Rays*
- Fluoride treatments (including silver diamine fluoride)
- Sealants
- Oral health instruction
Restorative Care**
- Fillings
- Simple extractions
- Pulpotomy (Treatment of the nerves inside of baby teeth)

A MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUTH SERVICES OFFICER
Week of October 20: Bullying & Kindness
Bullying, whether in person or online, can have serious effects on a student’s well-being. If you are currently bullying someone now, or have in the past, take a moment to put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if it was happening to you?
Remember, not everyone thinks, dresses, speaks, or has the same interest, and that’s what makes each person unique. If you witness bullying, don’t join in and don’t stay silent. Instead, support the person being targeted by standing with them or getting help from an adult.
Kindness is powerful! It can turn someone’s bad day into a better one. Treating others with respect not only helps individuals but also makes our schools stronger and more welcoming for everyone. Small actions of kindness add up to a safer, happier environment.
9 Square
Thanks to Mr. Weber and some amazing volunteers, we have added 9 Square to our outdoor space. Please review the rules with your students and remind them about safe play at activity time. We want this addition to last for a long time!

TRAVELING STUDENT INFO
MPMS Accelerated Math Program and MPMS French Students Attendance on Days with an Irregular Schedule
For Elementary Students Attending MPMS
These students WILL NOT attend on most days that alter the daily schedule, including delay days, half days, and days where MPMS students start with first hour. One issue is that there may not be a bus available to transport them back to their elementary schools. Another issue on delay days is that they will be finished with their MPMS math class long before their elementary start time.
The only exception to this rule will be days where they will be taking their trimester exams. They will indeed attend on exam days, even with the change in schedule.
For MPMS Students Attending MPHS
These students WILL NOT attend on delay days, half days, and all other irregular days unless otherwise instructed by their MPHS Math/French teacher.
