💙💛 Victor Elementary Weekly Message 💙💛

💙💛 Happy Sunday, Viking Families! 💙💛

What a wonderful first week back from Fall Break! It has been such a joy welcoming our Vikings back to campus after their two-week break. Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to visit classrooms, connect with students, and see firsthand the excitement and enthusiasm they brought back to school. It was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces, students reconnecting with their friends, and classrooms filled with learning, laughter, and positive energy!

Our teachers and staff have done an amazing job helping students transition back into their daily routines, and I am so proud of how quickly our Vikings have settled in and are ready to learn. As we begin our second quarter, I am excited about the wonderful learning opportunities, celebrations, and special activities ahead.

We have a busy and exciting couple of weeks coming up at Victor Elementary, so please take a moment to review the important announcements and upcoming events below! 💙💛

❤️ American Heart Association – Kids Heart Challenge!

Our Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association is officially underway! Our Vikings are learning about the importance of heart health, making healthy choices, and developing lifelong habits that keep their hearts strong. We are excited to see our students participate in this meaningful program while having fun and supporting a wonderful cause!

⏰ Minimum Day This Week!

Families, please remember that we have a minimum day this week! We encourage families to plan accordingly and make arrangements for their child's early dismissal. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and smooth dismissal for all our Vikings!

❤️ Red Ribbon Week & Wellness Week – October 26–30

Get ready for a fun-filled week of school spirit! Next week, Victor Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week and Wellness Week! Throughout the week, students will participate in exciting spirit days while learning about the importance of making healthy, safe, and positive choices. We encourage all our Vikings to participate and show their school spirit!

🚒 Parent School Safety Meeting – Friday, October 23

The safety and well-being of our students and staff continue to be among our highest priorities at Victor Elementary. We invite all families to attend our Parent School Safety Meeting on Friday, October 23, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 1.

We are honored to welcome Fire Chief Weber, who will join us to share valuable information about school safety, emergency preparedness, and ways we can work together to keep our school community safe. We hope you can join us for this important conversation!

📸 Picture Retake Day – Tuesday, October 27

Mark your calendars! Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27! This is a great opportunity for students who were absent on our original Picture Day or who need to have their school pictures retaken. We want to make sure every Viking has an opportunity to capture their school-year smile!

🎃👻 Trunk or Treat – Thursday, October 29!

Get ready for a spooktacular evening of family fun! Our amazing Victor Elementary Activities Team is excited to host our annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 29, from 4:30–6:00 p.m.!

We invite all our Viking families to join us for an evening filled with decorated trunks, sweet treats, costumes, and wonderful memories with our school community!

🍬 We Still Need Your Support! To make this event a success, we are asking our wonderful Viking families to help by donating bags of nut-free candy. Donations may be dropped off with your child's teacher or at the school office by Tuesday, October 27.

As an extra incentive, the classroom that collects the most bags of candy will earn a popcorn party! 🍿

Students are welcome to wear school-appropriate costumes. Please remember that masks, weapons, and bloody or gory costumes are not permitted.

Thank you for helping our Activities Team continue this special Victor tradition. We couldn't do it without the generosity and support of our amazing families!

🌟 Attendance Matters – Let's Make Every Day Count!

As we continue into our second quarter, I want to remind our families just how important regular school attendance is to student success. Every day and every minute of learning matters!

When students arrive at school on time and attend consistently, they build strong academic habits, develop meaningful friendships, and gain the confidence they need to succeed.

Families, we need your continued partnership in making attendance a priority! Please help us ensure that your Viking arrives every day, on time, and ready to learn. Together, we can make this a successful quarter for every student!

💙💛 Let's Have Another Amazing Week, Vikings!

October is filled with exciting opportunities for our students to learn, celebrate, and grow together! Thank you, Viking families, for your continued support, encouragement, and commitment to our school community.

Together, we make Victor Elementary a special place where every Viking can learn, grow, and thrive!

Wishing all our Viking families a wonderful Sunday and an amazing week ahead!

Warmly,
Mrs. Berry

Please know that this is only a practice drill, and there is no known threat to our campus

Dear Viking Families,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain one of our highest priorities at Victor Elementary.

On Wednesday, October 14, we successfully conducted a fire drill, and we are pleased to share that everything went extremely well! Our students and staff did an excellent job following safety procedures.

This coming Wednesday, October 21, we will conduct a practice lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety. District personnel will be on campus to observe our procedures, recognize areas of strength, and provide guidance on ways we can continue improving our emergency preparedness.

Please know that this is only a practice drill, and there is no known threat to our campus. Our staff will guide students through the process in a calm, reassuring, and age-appropriate manner.

Practicing emergency procedures helps ensure that our Viking community knows how to respond safely and confidently when needed.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping Victor Elementary a safe place to learn and grow!

💙💛 Together, we keep our Vikings safe!
