The Muraski Tribune: Issue 3
Back to School Information
Attention Muraski Families
Well, summer vacation for our children is finally coming to a close and the school year is upon us. I hope your families found time during the time off to enjoy time together, be outside, and create memories that last a lifetime. A few memories that I experienced this summer with my family were our children's first plane ride, some incredible hikes, my daughter, Emily, jumping off of a 12 foot high diving board (way out her comfort zone), an amazing trip to the beach with my wife, Rachael, and a few different campfire nights with our kids making smores.
The summer is always so much fun, but I can't tell you how excited we are to start a new school year with your children. Our custodial staff has done an amazing job of getting the building ready for our staff and students, our educators are planned and prepped for the start of school, and I know you all are experiencing all sorts of emotions, as your children may be entering their last year at Muraski or just starting out, in kindergarten. Wherever your are at with your children in their educational journey we are ready to promote their growth, progress, and well-being at our school.
Please take some time to review the links, procedures, and information in this newsletter. It is lengthy as we start the year.
Have a great weekend! We will see you on Monday, August 18th.
Sincerely,
Mike Griffen

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Arrival
Above, you will see a map of our parking lots and drop off circle. Cars will turn right into the playground parking lot to drop off their students. We ask that you use a loop in the lot, circling around against the curb to drop your child off.
Busses will used the loop that is directly parallel to the school. All students will enter Door A unless specified because of specific needs.
IMPORTANT - Through the first week of school we will permit parents to park in the car drop lot and walk children to the door (not inside the building), however we ask that after the first week you use the car loop and drop your child(ren) at the curb. There are several adults that will meet them at the door and assist them in getting to where they need to be.
Dismissal
All students will be dismissed from DOOR A, unless otherwise noted. Parents are asked to find parking either in our staff lot or our playground parking lot and walk up to Door A. Students will be released out of Door A and find their parents/guardians to go home. We will assist children with this at the start of the school year.
Important: Once you have your child, we ask that you leave the DOOR A area as quickly as possible, so we can begin calling busses.
If you choose to take your child to our playground after, please know that you are responsible for supervising your child, as the school does not provide supervision for students in that location.
If your child will go home using a different mode of transportation than the bus or they will walk, please fill out the form below.
Please know that if you call after 3:15pm to request an alternative method of transportation our office staff will not be available to respond to your request, as they are preparing for dismissal. We understand emergencies happen, but we request that you call prior to this time, so we can be organized.
