A Note from the Principal
Week 10, Day 44/180
Tomorrow is sure to be an entertaining day, with students and staff dressed up in their costumes to celebrate Halloween. While the costumes will certainly bring some fun and excitement, learning will remain our focus throughout the day, with a few festive themes mixed in.
Next Tuesday, November 4, is a 12:40 early dismissal. During this time, teachers will participate in meaningful professional development sessions, followed by a safety and security training led by the Hull Police Department. Due to this training, all after-school activities (including childcare) will be canceled.
Next week will also mark the start of our first round of Climate Surveys for students in grades K–7. These surveys give students the opportunity to share their experiences at the Jacobs School on topics such as the learning environment, social interactions, and school safety. Staff will carefully review the data and make thoughtful adjustments to continue improving the overall experience for our students.
Wishing everyone a fun and safe Halloween!
-Mr. Shaw
