Push Harder
Here we go! The final week of the semester is here and it is time to finish strong with all we do. It goes beyond the classroom. It is how we are as individuals and how we treat those around us. Do you see someone struggling? Lend that helping hand to ease their burdens. It makes for a better tomorrow!

Deliveries will be made on Saturday, December 20, starting at 10:30 am. If you are unavailable during this time, any remaining baskets will be taken to the Senior Center for later pickup. Please let us know if you’ll be home and provide your delivery address or any special instructions if needed.
We look forward to sharing a little holiday joy with you! Thank you for being a part of this special mission. Happy Holidays from the Shelby-Rising City NHS!
Congratulations to Garrett Ruth and Layla Waite on being selected for the 2026 Kearney Underclassmen Honor Band!

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Push Farther...
Good morning!
I hope your Sunday is off to a great start and I look forward to seeing many of you this afternoon at the Downtown Stroll! Thank you to all of you who help put that together!
As we enter the final stretch of the first semester, here is this week's quote: “Push harder than yesterday if you want a different tomorrow.” This isn't just a motivational phrase; it is a call to action for every member of the Shelby-Rising City community. The future success we envision—whether it’s high student achievement, pushing to the next level, or our school culture—is not simply hoped for, but actively built by the increased effort we put in right now.
For our students, this means pushing past distractions to dedicate the time to study, revise assignments, and ask for help, knowing that this final push defines your semester’s progress. For our staff, the call is to prioritize our standards and presence: to maintain high expectations, to offer actionable feedback, and to be fully engaged with our students and activities to ensure the instructional excellence our mission statement states we do. For our patrons and Board members, pushing harder means sustaining our constructive partnership, actively engaging with SRC, and maintaining a responsible, long-range view that allows us to make strategic decisions that secure the financial and programmatic sustainability of SRC.
The gap between our current standing and our highest potential is always closed by an extra, collective effort. I urge everyone to deny complacency and dedicate ourselves to our responsibilities this week, so that when the final bell rings on the first semester, we can celebrate a strong, shared, and well-earned success that sets the tone for the entire year!
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Push harder than yesterday f you want a different tomorrow."
Unkown
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
