WBSD Weekly Update
Juniors and Seniors in Media Production classes and who participate in West Bloomfield’s SkillsUSA chapter, traveled to the middle school to connect with students about all the opportunities associated with Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes available at the high school. They highlighted all the classes and the clubs that are associated with CTE: SkillsUSA, DECA, and HOSA. Students learned how CTE classes are not just about learning technical skills like editing video, working with tools, or using industry software, but also emphasized soft skills and workplace habits that are important in every career field. The high school students walked the middle schoolers through various career options in various industry sectors and how they can start their freshman year moving toward their future career goals by utilizing Career and Technical Education.
