8th graders need to continue to turn in their field trip forms and money for the field trip. The total field trip cost is $100. If anyone has any questions they can reach out to their student's homeroom teacher.

Person County Schools will be hosting Parenting with Eyes Wide Open has been rescheduled. More information will be provided when it is available. During this event, Local Mental Health Partners for Person County will be presenting the services they offer to our county. We hope you will come by to receive more information about ways mental health services can support our local community.

This year, our 6th Grade students are participating as a part of a writing study through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Parent letters came home with 6th Grade students last week. Please review the parent letter sent home this past week if you wish for your child to either "opt out" of the study. Please return these letters as soon as possible.

At Open House, we reviewed some parts of our Student Handbook. By clicking on the image to the right you can access a digital copy. A paper copy will be going home with all students this week. Please take time to review this with your child to ensure you are both aware of expectations for NMS Raiders.

If you have not received your parent letter regarding bus transportation, or may not have completed this form during student registration, you can request bus transportation for your child using the form attached here.

Students must NOT wear:

1. Clothing which promotes, exposes, or advertises activities not permitted by law to minors (e.g. guns, drugs, cigarettes, or alcohol).

2. Clothing which depicts profanity, vulgarity, obscenity, or violence.

3. Clothing prohibited under 4328 (Gang and Gang Related Activity) or any other provision of Board Policy.

4. Clothes which are overly tight or loose and therefore too revealing or obscene.

5. Clothing which threatens the health or safety of staff or students.

6. Clothing which is reasonably likely to create a substantial disruption of the educational process or operations of the school.

7. Pajamas (this include pajama bottoms), nightgowns, or other sleepwear.

8. Hats or hoods in the school building.

9. Steel toe boots.
