Caffeine Pouch Notice Caffeine Pouch Notice

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

We are writing to share an important policy reminder regarding caffeine pouches (such as Grinds, Java Chews, or similar products).

Caffeine pouches are strictly prohibited during school hours for two key reasons:

  • District Caffeine Policy: School policy does not permit caffeine drinks or high-caffeine products on campus.

  • Prohibited "Look-Alike" Items: These pouches closely resemble regulated products like oral nicotine, tobacco, or drug paraphernalia. Under school policy, students must not bring any item that violates school rules or causes a disruption to the learning environment. Prohibited items include stolen goods, weapons and lookalike weapons, vaping devices, drug paraphernalia, and other illegal items or lookalikes.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping these products at home so we can maintain a safe, healthy, and focused environment for all students. Please reach out to the school administration if you have any questions.

Next Week's Learning Center Lesson Next Week's Learning Center Lesson

Next week's Learning Center Lesson will focus on key platforms and grading methods such as navigating the PJ's website, using Schoology & Skyward, and understanding formative and summative assessments.

Students have direct access to weekly lesson slides in Schoology inside the Learning Center course.

Student Accident Insurance Student Accident Insurance

Because medical costs can be expensive, Stevens Point Area School District does provide families the opportunity to purchase student accident insurance for their student through Student Assurance Services, Inc.

This supplemental policy would assist with your out-of-pocket medical expenses (i.e., deductible) should your student sustain an accidental injury while coverage is in effect. Also, if you do not have any insurance on your student, this would be primary for accidental injuries. There is a variety of coverage options, and premiums are a one-time payment for the school year. Parents / Guardians can enroll students at any time during the policy period.

Please review the short video link below and the linked forms regarding student accident insurance.

Information is available on the District Website. It can be found under either Departments > Business Services > Student Accident Insurance or Family Resources > Key Information for Families > Student Accident Insurance.

Families may enroll online at www.sas-mn.com.

If you have any questions about this coverage, please contact Student Assurance Services directly at (800) 328-2739.
