PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Friday, August 22nd
Hello Patton Families and welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!
Our first two days at Patton were filled with fun and flew by so fast! It was wonderful to see so many of you at drop off on the first day and to hear about all the amazing things everyone did over summer break!
We had a busy couple of days getting to know new friends and faces and re-familiarizing ourselves with classroom, hallway and recess behavior expectations and today we had an amazing "all school" assembly to welcome everyone back in style!
On Monday we will kick off our "Safety Week" and will have a few drills throughout the week. Please be sure to be mindful of these days and try to limit late arrivals, early dismissals and doctor appointments on these days!
For those of you that are new to Patton, I've included a photo of our amazing front office team! You will probably be interacting with some of these people quite regularly so I thought it would be good for you to be able to put a face to a name (from L-R)!
- Mrs Vignocchi - Assistant Principal
- Mrs Hamilton - Admin Assistant
- Mrs Dunning - Admin Assistant
- Mrs Klancnik - Nurse
- Mrs Chin - Principal
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We are so excited for our first FULL week next week!
Thank You!
Ellie Chin
WELCOME NEW STAFF MEMBERS! (NEW POST!)
We are so thrilled to welcome 3 new staff members to Patton this year! We are always so excited to welcome new faces into the building! If you see these new staff members, please give them a warm Patton welcome!
Molly Tuskey - 4th Grade Teacher
My name is Molly Tuskey and I have been teaching for the past 4 years. I went to school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have taught 3rd grade in both Illinois and Kentucky, and this will be my first year teaching 4th grade! Some of my hobbies include being outdoors, traveling, cooking, and baking. A fun fact about me is that I got engaged this summer! I'm looking forward to joining the Patton family this year, go Panthers!
Maureen Fallon - 1st Grade Teacher
I have been teaching for 14 years. I took some time off to stay at home with my kids and returned to teaching 5 years ago. I was teaching at Olive last year. My husband and I live in Arlington Heights with our 3 kids. I am originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, so naturally I am a Packers fan which makes me quite outnumbered in my household! I love teaching and I'm looking forward to teaching at Patton this year!
Juliana Nazaire - School Psychologist
I previously worked at Des Planes for my internship year. I was a behavioral therapist for three years previously. What I'm looking forward to most at Patton is collaborating with such a dedicated team and getting to know all the amazing students!
Fun facts: Even though I don't have any kids of my own yet, I love spending time with my niece and nephew. I also love making body butters and money bouquets.
TRAFFIC TEAM UPDATE (NEW POST!)
Welcome back Patton Families! We on the traffic team are looking forward to seeing everyone next week!
We are so lucky to have wonderful parent, grandparent and caregiver volunteers come to help ensure these times of the day run smoothly and safely and this year we are in need of some extra help! Do you (or a caregiver or a grandparent...) have a bit of spare time before school or after school? Do you/they want to be one of the first friendly faces our 394 Panthers see when they arrive at school or the last high five they get at the end of the school day? If so we would love it if you/they would consider volunteering to help us get our Panthers in and out of cars! We welcome people who are able to give any amount of their time - morning only, afternoon only, one day a week etc - we would be so grateful for your help!
Being part of the traffic team is a great way to feel like part of the amazing Patton community and is also a great way to meet other parents!
If you are considering volunteering, but aren't quite ready to make a commitment, you can shadow a traffic volunteer one day and see what it's like. We have wonderful kids who smile at you, say thank you, and are excited to tell you about their day. (Great job, parents!)
Please complete this google form to express your interest. Thank you!
