Dear Sam Rayburn Families,

We have successfully completed our first marking period! Thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership during these important opening weeks.

The first marking period is more than a milestone—it is a stepping stone in our journey of continuous improvement. Our teachers and staff are committed to reflecting on their work, strengthening instruction, and improving the support we provide to every student.

We are teaching our Raiders that success is built through effort, discipline, consistency, and the courage to learn from challenges. Growth may not always be easy, but every challenge gives us an opportunity to learn, adjust, and become better.

Please continue reviewing your child’s grades in HAC, celebrating their progress, and encouraging them to take responsibility for their learning. When our students, families, and staff work together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

A new day is dawning at Sam Rayburn Middle School. We are building something special, and I am grateful that your family is part of our journey from good to great.

Raider Up!

Cell Phones

Under our district's "Away for the Day" policy, which is also mandated by state law, all students are required to keep their cell phones and personal electronic devices turned off and stored away during the school day. We need your partnership in ensuring our students understand this expectation and the importance of adhering to it so we can maintain a focused, distraction-free learning environment. Please see the updated changes to our Cell Phone policies.
