*Parent Teacher Conference Day will be Monday October 19th. Teachers will share their Sign-Up Genius to signup for a conference on their Rooms communication app by Wednesday October 14th. If you need assistance in using the Rooms app, please call the front office at 803-641-2470 or email Michelle King at mking@acpsd.net. If you plan to come in for a conference, please sign up prior to arriving. If you don't sign-up, you are not guaranteed conference slot as it tends to be a busy day for our teachers. NJROTC CADETS

Two Kennedy cadets, Trinity Pullin and Jeremiah Fairley, were part of the Color Guard at the SAHS homecoming game on the 18th. It is a great accomplishment for them to have the skills and ability to be selected for this so early in their first year with NJROTC. They are pictured carrying the rifles.

Additionally, Oliver Teran Hidrogo became the first Kennedy cadet going back at least half a decade (but likely more) to pass the Cadet Challenge, also referred to as the physical fitness test. This earns him the physical fitness ribbon with silver lamp device, the second highest category of this award. He is also the first Kennedy cadet to earn a ribbon this school year.

End of Quarter Intramurals Celebration

On September 21st and 22nd we CELEBRATED! As the First Quarter came to a close, students who were passing their classes gathered in the gym for intramural games. It was lively and fun! Keep working hard students! Your effort is noticed and we are proud of you. #everyeaglecounts

Math Nation and Curriculum

Are you curious what your student is learning about in math? You can see the resources and curriculum used at Kennedy Middle School by using the family guides below. Math Nation is the state supported curriculum in South Carolina that focuses on a conceptual learning in mathematics.

Also, Kennedy Middle is using Zearn this year as a support to the Math Nation curriculum. Zearn provides extra guided practice and independent practice to students through its missions and Tower of Power. After KMS teachers teach the curriculum, students turn to Zearn as a reinforcement to what they just learned. To learn more, go to https://about.zearn.org/research.
