Volunteer Opportunities: September
Each newsletter, we will update volunteer opportunities for ways to get involved in the school and see your kiddos. No experience needed, just warm smiles and a willingness to help out. These opportunities are available to parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, caregivers, and others who wish to support our school community.
STEM Activities at Home
PTA Meeting: October 7, 7-8pm
All Bingham Farms families are invited to join us for our monthly PTA meetings. We meet in the Media Center to share updates on school programs, vote on how to support our classrooms, and hear the Principal's report. Meeting Highlights:
- School tours will be available starting at 6:30 p.m.
- Presentation from Birmingham Friends of Different Learners
- Update on the Bingham Boo
Bingham Boo - October 17, 6-9pm
Join us for our school's biggest family event of the year! With activities geared toward elementary students, kids can enjoy games throughout the school, entertainment, pizza, and prizes. There will be the annual teacher raffle for our students and a 50/50 raffle for adults.
Purchase Wristbands: $16 Individual, $55 Family Max (all family members 4+ years need a wristband - including adults)
A Little Less Change Please
Did you know that last year, the PTA collected $356 in COINS?!? and $5 worth of International Coins... That is a lot of change to roll or pay service fees on. While the PTA loves kids bringing in their allowance or couch change, please only send in $1 bills for Ice Cream or Bagel Days. Or better yet, purchase a pass below, and no one will cry over their misplaced $. We all thank you in advance.
PTA Membership
We invite all our families to be members of the PTA. Your membership gets you access to our Bingham Farms school directory, funds classroom grants, helps us to provide gifts for staff appreciation, host school events, and provides students with various fun, innovative, and educational items. It also helps us maintain our local and national PTA affiliation.
Classroom Funds
Class funds support our four class parties (Halloween, Winter, Valentines, and End-of-Year), treats, games, and crafts. By supporting the Classroom Fund, we will minimize our ask for donations to parties throughout the year.
Bagel Pass - Wednesday is Bagel Day
The Bagel Pass allows your student to have a bagel once a week on a designated day throughout the school year. Click the image to prepay for bagels all year long. *Please note flavors will be Plain, Salt, and Cinnamon Sugar. There will not be condiments. Bagels begin 9/10
Ice Cream Pass - Friday is Ice Cream Day
The Ice Cream Pass allows your student to have a popsicle or ice cream novelty once a week on a designated day throughout the school year. This sale helps support the 5th grade promotion. Click the image to buy an ice cream pass. Ice Cream begins 9/12. *Pre-K and JK students will not have ice cream
Stay in touch with friends and share your back-to-school highlights on your grade's Facebook pages. These are meant to be social spaces that spread positivity throughout our classes.

Dandelion Kids Resale Shop
The PTA has partnered with Dandelion Kids for a back-to-school fundraiser...get some new clothes for the new year and 10% of your purchase will go right to the school!
Dandelion Kids is a new curated children’s resale boutique just around the corner at Maple & Cranbrook. We offer gently loved—and often brand-new—clothing for babies through size 16, all carefully selected for quality and style. You’ll find favorite brands like Janie & Jack, Zara, Hanna Andersson, Vineyard Vines, and more; there’s something for every kid’s look. Plus, our easy parking, fitting rooms, and kids’ corner make shopping together easy and fun!

Kroger Community Rewards
Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.
Box Tops for Education
A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone.
