1SC Shout Outs!
Payton Steinke
Did you know Sand Creek has over 13 students participating in a work study/apprentice program? The Aggie Academic Center recognizes that there are many paths to learning and this is just one of many!
This week's featured student is a senior at Sand Creek. Payton is in her second year of the Education Careers Program at the LISD TECH Center. This year, Payton is completing a co-op internship experience at Trenton Hills Learning Center. Through this program, Payton is able to earn money and gain experience teaching during her school day. She is doing a fantastic job and will no doubt make an excellent teacher! Thank you for your hard work and for representing SC in such a positive way Payton!
The Counseling Center would also like to continue to recognize the LISD TECH Center for all of their hard work partnering with us and helping us to support and secure these placements for our students at Sand Creek.

Seniors Participate in "College Bingo" and Earn Prizes
SC Seniors participated in college bingo last week during Academic Center. This event, part of our College/Career Readiness Initiative, allows students to get to know their teachers and learn about college at the same time! The purpose of the game is for students to find teachers that fit the criteria of the items on the bingo card they are given. This activity opens the door for communication and allows students to make connections with staff and learn about the different institutions that each staff member attended. Below are some of our seniors picking out their prizes.
Coming Up This Week
- 10-24: Marking Period 1 Report Cards should have gone home with your students.
