A Message for the Week Ahead...... A Message for the Week Ahead......

As we continue our journey through October, we remain focused on our diocesan theme, “Lord, Help Us to See,” and this month's Corporal Work of Mercy, “Give Drink to the Thirsty.”

When we think about giving drink to the thirsty, we often picture offering someone a glass of water. While this simple act of kindness is important, Jesus calls us to look beyond what we can see with our eyes and recognize the needs of those around us.

Each day, we encounter people who may be thirsting for something that cannot be poured into a glass. Some may thirst for friendship, encouragement, understanding, forgiveness, or simply someone who will listen. As a school community, we want our students to understand that even the smallest acts of compassion can make a tremendous difference in someone's life.

This week, I encourage our families to take a moment to talk with their children about how they can help fill someone else's cup. Perhaps it is including someone who feels left out, offering a kind word to a classmate, helping a family member without being asked, or showing patience when someone is having a difficult day.

At Saint Peter Cathedral School, we strive to teach our students that living our faith is not just about the prayers we say, but about the love and kindness we show through our actions.

As we move through October, may we continue to ask the Lord to open our eyes and hearts so that we may recognize those who are thirsty for kindness, compassion, and love.

Lord, help us to see the needs of others and give us the courage to respond with loving hearts.

Have a blessed week!

At Saint Peter Cathedral School, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school plays an essential role in each child's academic success. When parents and teachers work together, we create a supportive environment where our students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe that meeting with parents and guardians twice a year for parent-teacher conferences is an important part of building and maintaining this partnership. These conferences provide an opportunity to celebrate your child's accomplishments, discuss areas for growth, address any concerns, and work together to establish goals for continued success.

Please look for an email from your child's teacher on Wednesday, October 14, with all the information you will need to schedule your parent-teacher conference.

We value your involvement in your child's education and look forward to meeting with each of you. Your partnership makes a difference, and together we can help every child reach their fullest potential!
