Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers that continue to show up for our monthly volunteer opportunities at DeKeyser!! The kiddos look forward to these fun-filled Fridays to spend some extra time with their grade level while teachers get an opportunity for collaboration. We appreciate all our volunteers tremendously!

We hope our families had a blast at our annual DeKeyser Family Bowling event on Saturday afternoon at 5 Star Lanes! A huge THANK YOU to Niki Kevonian, Stephanie Steffes, and Tracie Barnes for helping make this event happen. There were tons of smiling dolphins that enjoyed their two games of bowling, pizza, and raffle prizes!

Please be sure to take a peek at our PTCG calendar for March! We put a reminder on there that all Family Bingo Night forms are due by Thursday, March 5th. Family Bingo Night is an absolute HOOT with tons of laughter and smiles from everyone! We play several games of Bingo, enjoy pizza and ice cream, win tons of prizes, and raffle off some awesome baskets!! It costs $15 per family. We hope to see you there on Thursday, March 12th from 6:00-7:30pm. We extend a ginormous THANK YOU to Nicole Luebs for charging this amazing event!

We are asking for your support to help keep our students safe. If you plan to volunteer in our classrooms, work directly with a student and/or chaperone a field trip, etc. you will need to have a volunteer background check on file. The new volunteer application form is located at this link: www.uticak12.org/volunteer. The background check involves multiple state and federal law enforcement databases. We greatly appreciate the involvement of our families and the difference you make at DeKeyser Elementary. Thank you for your partnership with this extra step that will improve safety in our school.

A few reminders:

Please have all required documentation ready before you begin.
The application must be completed in one sitting.
One application can be used for multiple schools
Once approved, you will be cleared to volunteer in UCS schools

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the DeKeyser Office: OfficeDeKeyser@uticak12.org or 586-797-4400.

Thank you for supporting our students and school community through volunteering!
