PTA Meeting

Please come to our first PTA Meeting of the year. It will be Monday, October 14th starting at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Come see how you can help our students this year and what opportunities are available to volunteer your time or talents.

4th Grade Music Program

Monday, October 14th at 6:00 pm is our 4th Grade Music Program. Please come and enjoy the students' performance. It is always a good show with beautiful singing.

Fall Break for Students

Students will be on Fall Break with No School Friday, October 18th and Monday, October 21st. Enjoy this time with your family!

Counselor's Corner

Do you know about Peace at Home?

Peace at Home provides shelter and supportive services for victims of domestic violence. Their mission is to empower victims of domestic violence to survive and thrive by nurturing their self-determination and courage; and to promote healthy relationships and compassionate communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.

They operate a toll free crisis hotline at 877-442-9811. They offer a safe, emergency shelter for adults and children in danger. They offer client-led advocacy such as legal representation, emotional support, finding employment, transitional housing, and community referrals.

Finally, they offer weekly support groups in English and Spanish. They are located here in Springdale. You can find more information at their website, which is also available in English and Spanish.

Book-N-Treat

Save the Date: Monday, October 28, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Where: Bayyari Elementary Front Parking Lot

Event: Come enjoy a book and candy with us. Students and parents will go around the parking lot and listen to stories at each trunk. After the story, children will be given a piece of candy. The Fire Department Smoke House will be here for families to explore. We will be serving hot dogs and giving away free books! Please come join us.

October Dress Up Days

October 28th - November 1st

Monday: Work it out to stay away from Drugs (exercise clothes or sports jerseys)

Tuesday: Team up to stay healthy (each grade level wear the same color)

Kindergarten: Black

First Grade: Red

Second Grade: Blue

Third Grade: Orange

Fourth Grade: Green

Fifth Grade: Gray

Wednesday: Dream of being drug free (pajamas)

Thursday: Show your character by making healthy choices (book character dress up day)

Friday: Too cool for drugs (wear sunglasses and all black for Bayyari Blackout)

Bear Bash Black Out

Date: Friday, November 1st

Time: 1:45 pm

Where: Bayyari Elementary Cafeteria

What: Bear Bash Assembly - students will dress in black and wear glow stick necklaces during the assembly. Neon lights will be on and our normal lights will be off. Perfect Attendance Awards, Bear Pride Awards, and Character Awards will be announced.

As always, parents are welcome!

Meet Our Bears! Meet Our Bears!

Ms. Jessica Stewart

Every week we want to introduce you to a fabulous Bear that works at Bayyari. We have some of the best teachers and staff in the world and we can't wait for you to get to know them!


Ms. Jessica Stewart was raised in Roland, Oklahoma . This is her seventh year teaching after a long break to be a stay at home mom. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith with a degree in Early Childhood Education.


When not teaching, Ms. Stewart enjoys reading, spending time with family, and shopping! She also loves to help animals. Ms. Stewart is married to her husband, Brad. They have two kids, Aubree and Jenson, and two dogs, Rex and Rosie.
