eCampus Academy Update May 2025
Watertown Unified School District | May 2025
A Note from Principal Bull
We are so thankful for the trust and support you give our school every day. Your partnership means so much to us as we work together to help every student grow and succeed.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we want to encourage all families to help their learners stay focused on learning and finish strong. This time of year can be exciting, but it’s also important to keep routines in place—like getting enough sleep, completing homework, and staying organized. Talk with your child about their goals and remind them how much they’ve learned and grown already.
Now is the time to push through challenges, ask for help when needed, and give their best effort each day. With your continued support and encouragement, we know our students can finish the year with confidence. Let’s work together to make these last weeks count.
In addition, as we move forward, we encourage you to nurture a love of reading at home by dedicating at least 20 minutes each day to reading. This simple habit can have a profound impact on your child's development and long-term success.
Thank you for partnering with eCampus to support the educational journey of your child/ren. Our continued partnership and support is valued and valuable.

4K Learners- May is a reporting month. Please be sure to assess your learner in all areas. Just a reminder that if your learner has not mastered a specific concept area that they will not be faulted, but rather a good place for instruction to continue, in order to be prepared for Kindergarten standards. A copy of this spreadsheet will be included in your learner(s) cumulative folder along with the report card.
Spring Assessments- Just a reminder that this month your learner will be participating in various assessments. These assessments are a great tool to help gauge your learners' understanding of the concepts that have been taught so far this year, and help make a roadmap for future learning. Please establish an environment where your learner can be successful during testing sessions, especially by minimizing distractions and volume. Results will be shared from your learner(s) teacher.
End of the Year Material Drop Off- Reminder that you can return any unused Timberdoodle Kit materials or materials students have not written in such as teachers manuals to the eCampus office at the end of the school year. Students may keep materials that they are going to be using over the course of the summer or into next school year. Stay tuned for more information on how to turn in your chromebooks, hot spots, or document cameras into the eCampus office.
Report Cards- Reports cards will be available to be viewed in your learners Skyward account after the end of the semester. If you are unable to access their report card, please reach out to your learners teacher. If you are wanting a paper copy, please be sure to ask for one to be mailed to you.
Summer School- Watertown Unified School District does offer summer school options for 4K through 5th grade learners. They have a wide variety of in-person course offerings. You can find more information here.

Aleks Daily Work Time
If you have a math class, you are expected to work on it for about an hour every day, 5 days a week. What is the single most important math skill? The ability to consistently work on your math! To encourage daily work, Mrs. Barr hosts math hour Monday - Friday from 10 AM - 11 AM. Join the CLASS app during this time (only Mrs. Barr can see you and/or your screen) and have a time/place to stay on pace with your math and ask questions when you need to (and get help right away!). You will find the link to the CLASS link on your SPLP landing page on your ALEKS class.
💫 Honor Roll 💫
We are thrilled to introduce an Honor Roll system that recognizes the hard work and dedication of our high school students. This initiative highlights their academic achievements and serves as a celebration of their commitment to excellence. We look forward to sharing this new tradition with you as we continue to support and inspire our students to reach their full potential!
High School Honor Roll and High Honor Roll will be computed on a trimester basis. Honor Roll will be calculated five business days after the close of each trimester using only final calculated and submitted grades within Skyward. All student work must be submitted by the last day of the grading period to be considered for Honor Roll. A list of Honor Roll students will be posted in the eCampus Newsletter and eCampus Social Media. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of four classes to qualify for Honor Roll and have at least four final grades entered within Skyward.
3.500 and higher: High Honors
3.200– 3.499: Honors
Dual Credit Options
Start College Now (SCN)
Start College Now provides an opportunity for high school students to earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. High school juniors and seniors are eligible to take classes during the Fall and Spring semesters. Tuition and books are paid by the school district. Contact eCampus for more information as deadlines do apply for each semester and can vary by Technical College.
Credits earned can by applied towards a degree at the Technical College and many other Wisconsin colleges.
Early College Credit Program (ECCP)
The ECCP statute allows Wisconsin public and private high school students to take one or more courses at an institution of higher education for high school and/or college credit. Under this section, “institution of higher education” means an institution within the University of Wisconsin System, a tribally controlled college, or a private, nonprofit institution of higher education located in the state. While technical colleges are not eligible institutions under the new program, pupils that have completed 10th grade will continue to have the option to take courses at technical colleges through a separate statute, 38.12(14).
Students MUST submit their ECCP applications (no exceptions) to their school by:
- October 1 for spring courses
- February 1 for summer courses
- March 1 for fall courses

Career and Accelerated Degree Pathways
Attention high school-aged eCampus students and families! Did you know that eCampus Academy offers a Career and Accelerated Degree Pathways Program? Students in Grades 10-12 can pursue a Technical Diploma or Associate Degree while enrolled in high school in one of 10 high-demand career areas. These online courses, in cooperation with Wisconsin technical colleges, will also count as high school credit in eCampus. Students in Grades 9-12 who plan to attend a four-year institution may complete up to 30 transferable college credits, putting them on a path to potentially graduate with a Bachelor's degree in three years from a University of Wisconsin System School.
The eCampus Academy Pathways Program saves students time and money while accessing high quality, future-ready learning experiences and professional programs. We're really excited about this opportunity for students.
