Patriot Peek at the Week News

February 7th-11th

Patriot Peek atthe Week NewsFebruary 7th-11th

Dear Wolf Ridge Students and Families,

Welcome back! I hope everyone was able to stay safe and warm during our snow days last week. I also hope that everyone was able to build a snowman, sled, or play in the snow.

You should have received notification from Superintendent Dugan that our district is now mask optional. I have included a link to the letter from the Superintendent below. I reminded all of our students this morning to simply be kind. We do not need to know the reason for individuals choosing to either mask or not mask. We will respect that choice and show kindness to everyone. We are focusing on kindness for the month of February. Random Acts of Kindness Day is on February 17th. Let's spread kindness all month long!

We are going to have a hat day this coming Friday! We are going to have a hat day this coming Friday!

Blessing in a Backpack is a charitable program created to provide food for students/families that may need it over the weekends and during school breaks. Each Friday, students that have signed up are sent home with food items for the weekend. These students are sent home with additional food items prior to extended breaks. Your donation of at least $1 or more will allow you to wear a hat on Fridays and will also help to raise funds for this amazing program. If you would like to learn more about Blessings in a Backpack, visit their Facebook page "Bunker Hill, IL Blessings in a Backpack" or go to www.blessingsinabackpack.org. You can also contact Trista at tmanar@bhcusd.org or Becca at becca.mize@gmail.com.

While your child can simply bring the donation with them to school that day and turn it in to his/her teacher, you can also donate at other times throughout the year. Please see below for more information about donating to our Blessings in a Backpack program at Bunker Hill.
