Cavalier Caller 11/1/26

November 1, 2026
Homecoming
Lake Travis ISD was founded in 1981. Since then, thousands upon thousands of Cavaliers have graduated and made their respective marks first on our campus and then upon society. We invite all of our alumni to return home this week to our Homecoming Week 2026. Please join us at the Hill Country Galleria on Wednesday, November 4th as our students and organizations parade through the streets. Our PTO will have their annual extravaganza beginning at 5:30 there as well. The week concludes with our Homecoming football game against Westwood at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 6th. Welcome home.
Congratulations to our Boys' Cross Country team. For only the third time in school history, the varsity team will be running at the State meet held at Settler's Park in Round Rock on Friday, November 6th. Congratulations to Olivia Laudicina that qualified for her third consecutive year for the Girls' State Cross Country meet as well. Our Cav Marching Band competes at Area Marching contest in San Antonio this weekend and our volleyball begins their playoff run. Best of luck to all our Cavaliers competing this week and beyond.
I hope that you all have a very safe four-day weekend.
Thank you for your support and encouragement as we move into November.

Homecoming 2026
Our Homecoming Football Game will take place on Friday, November 6th versus Round Rock Westwood. The annual Homecoming Parade will take place on Wednesday, November 4th at the Hill Country Galleria. Since our Homecoming Week festivities are taking place after Daylight Saving Time ends, the Galleria will be a better lit venue to host our parade and PTO extravaganza. Please come out and support our Cavaliers as they parade through the streets of the Hill Country Galleria beginning at 6:30 pm.
Attendance Matters!
Did you know that consistent attendance is one of the biggest factors in your child’s academic success? Every minute of every class counts, and when they are here and engaged, they are giving themselves the best chance to succeed—not just in school but in life!
You may have received an attendance notification recently. When a student misses 3 days or parts of days within a four-week period, we are required to notify you of the absences under Texas Education Code 25.0915.
Additionally, if your child has exceeded the amount of allowable absences in one or more classes, they will be assigned a Principal’s Plan to make up for that missed instructional time. Your child knows it as “Attendance Make Up Hours”. Please check your inbox and review any required notices as soon as possible. Be sure to check your spam and junk folders to ensure you do not miss any critical information or required completion steps as they do come from noreply@ltisdschools.org. If you do receive a make up hours email at any time during the semester, please encourage your child to complete their make up hours as soon as possible rather than waiting until the last minute.
If you have any questions regarding attendance, please contact your child’s Assistant Principal.
Away for the Day
Students at LTHS will have their electronic personal devices "away for the day". This includes air pods and personal computers. During the school hours of 8:50 - 4:10, personal devices are to be turned off and stored in a student's backpack, bag, locker, or vehicle. Students in violation of this policy will have to surrender their device to a staff member to be collected at the end of the day. A second violation will require a parent to pick up. A third violation will result in disciplinary consequences per the student code of conduct.
Celebrating Amazing Victories - for Parents - Cavs Kuddos
