A Lot to Catch Up On!
Welcome, Music Families!
There’s a LOT happening in the world of our music students right now, so we’ve packed this newsletter with plenty to catch up on!
Inside, you’ll find updates on concessions and fundraising, Disney trip news, three performances in three days this coming weekend, a chance to help us decide how we share photos from this year’s events, notes from our directors, and a special note from me as your Music Club President.
Don’t forget about our WMC meeting this Wednesday, too! We’d love to see you there and have you be part of what’s happening behind the scenes.
You also now have the option of having the Music Minute delivered straight to your inbox as soon as it is published! Click the Subscribe button at the end of the newsletter!
Take a few minutes to look through — and as always, thank you for being part of this amazing Woodridge Music Family!
Because Music Matters,
The Woodridge Music Club
Three Days. Three Performances. One Epic Weekend.
Sept. 18th, 19th and 20th!
Next weekend is going to be a BIG one for our marching band and dance team!
We’re kicking things off Friday night with an away game-day performance at Ravenna. Call time 5:00 pm at WHS.
Then we're headed to the St. Vincent-St. Mary Band Show on Saturday. Call time 5:00 pm at WHS. Friends and family can buy tickets at the link below. Show begins at 7:00 pm.
Finally, we're wrapping things up Sunday with a performance at Oktoberfest on Front Street in downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Call time 11:00 am at WHS. Performance to start at noon.
That’s three performances in three days! These students have been working so hard, and we’re excited to see them put it all out there (and hopefully get a little sleep somewhere in between!).
If you can, come out and support them at one—or all three—of these events. We’d love to see some familiar faces cheering them on throughout the weekend!
Concessions Corner
From Mrs. Clark, Fall Concessions Chair
Wow!! What an amazing group of volunteers this past Friday for concessions!
We were kept busy all game, and many hands made it run smoothly!
Thank you so much to everyone who pitched in....I am so grateful for everyone, but especially those who keep coming back :-)
Please note, every penny of profit from the concession stand goes straight back to our music program. For every hot dog wrapped, walking taco made, burger with the works, and nacho cheese cup filled, it all goes to support our amazing program. We cannot do this without you!
Thank you, and see you at the next home game- September 25th.
Fundraiser Focus
From Mrs. Teston, Fundraising Chair
Hey Disney Travelers!
A huge high five to everyone and their fundraising efforts these past 10 months!
From Pepperoni Rolls, to Dine-to-Donate, and Spirit Blankets you’ve really put in the work!
Any credit you’ve received from these sales were applied to your remaining balance with Bob Rogers Travel. Emails were sent this week to adjust the final payment which is due October 9th.
Keep an eye out for blanket delivery the last week of October. Directors will send communication via Parent Square with a pickup date once we have it.
Interested in taking the reins for TAG Day next year?
Please give Kristen an email, call, text, or even send up a smoke signal! Everything is already set up and organized, so next year’s coordinator will mostly need to copy, paste, update, and GO! 🎶

Directors' Notes 🎶
Mr. Krstolic
Thank you to everyone who helped make Friday such a special and memorable evening! Our students worked hard, and we truly appreciate all of the support from our families and volunteers.
There will be an extra marching practice on September 29th. The time will be shared as soon as it is finalized.
Ms. Feicht
A quick reminder that choir students will be performing at the football game next Friday, Sept. 25th!
We’re looking forward to having our choir students share their talents and be part of another great evening supporting our school and community.
Mrs. Lammert
A reminder that Jazz Band will rehearse this Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45–4:00 p.m. in the Music Room.
Kent
A reminder that Basses will have Drumline practice this Wednesday from 8:00–9:00 p.m. following marching band rehearsal.
Uniform Updates
Concert Uniform Invoices
Sorry for the delay... Concert uniform invoices for Concert Band, all choirs and Jazz Band will be sent home this week!
If you still have an outstanding balance from Band Camp or for a Marching Band uniform and haven’t yet had a chance to discuss payment options with me or Mr. Krstolic, please keep an eye out for a message from him soon. We’re happy to work with you to make arrangements if needed.
New uniform parents needed!
We’re looking for people to shadow our current Uniform Chairpersons and learn the ropes for the future!
No sewing or prior experience required! Our current chairs will train you, and you’ll have volunteers to help. You can even form a Uniform Committee and share the responsibilities!
If you’ve ever thought, “I could probably help with that…” — this is your sign!
Please consider stepping up to help keep our uniform program running smoothly!
The Four Year Cycle
From Mrs. Ehrhardt, WMC President
One of the unique challenges of Music Club is that our volunteer leadership naturally has a four-year cycle. Families who jump in when their students are freshmen often become the people who know how everything works—and then, before we know it, they’re getting ready to graduate!
When I first started helping, Music Club was essentially 5 people trying to do it all. Today, we have an amazing team of at least 15 people regularly pitching in, and we are incredibly grateful for every one of them. But with over 100 families involved in our music program, there is plenty of room for more families to join us!
This year, our President, Secretary, Concessions Coordinator, and both our Marching and Concert Uniform coordinators all have seniors. That means we have a lot of knowledge and experience that will be graduating right along with our students.
An easy way to get started is simply to come to our monthly Music Club meetings. That’s how I started! Come listen, see what we’re working on, and get a feel for where you might be able to lend a hand. You don’t have to sign up for a huge responsibility right away—sometimes the best way to find your place is to just show up and see where you can help.
Please consider volunteering now, even if you can only start by helping out in a small way. By getting involved now, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our current volunteers, learn how things are done, and help ensure a smooth transition for the families who come after us.
We’ve built a really great team. Let’s keep it going!
With gratitude,
Kristen
